Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Trip to Mabira Forest, Uganda
You will start your day with a pick-up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala after breakfast. Then, drive to the east along the Kampala -Jinja Highway, enjoying views of farmlands, towards the forest headquarters at Najjembe.
On arrival at Mabira Forest, you will have a briefing before going on a guided nature walk along forest trails. You will be led by a local guide through the forest, pointing out diverse plant and animal species, including primates such as Red-tailed Monkey and Uganda Mangabey. The forest is a great location for bird lovers, with a chance to see various bird species.
Enjoy lunch at the lodge or forest restaurant around the forest, allowing you to experience the forest setting.
After lunch, go for more exploration of the forest, like the riverine areas, in the afternoon. Later in the evening, drive back to Kampala, arriving in the late evening.
