Detailed Itinerary
Day 1; Pick up and transfer to Bwindi forest.
On day 1 of the 10 Days Uganda, Rwanda and Congo Tour, depending on your location in Kigali, our company representative and guide will meet you and later you will embark on your journey to Bwindi en route lunch and continue to Kisoro district where you will connect to your lodge and spend the evening relaxing at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Rest Camp – budget or Buhoma Haven Lodge – Midrange

Day 2; Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
On day 2 of the 10 Days Uganda, Rwanda and Congo Tour, breakfast will be served early, depart with your lunch park and report to the park headquarters for an important briefing by the park ranger guides about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. It is also here that you will be allocated which gorilla family to trek. You will then head into the steep slopes of Bwindi impenetrable Forest National Park and trek until you locate the mountain gorillas. This can last between 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. On finding the gorillas, you will be given 1 hour to view, photograph, and record small videos as you please and later return to the assembly point for your certificate. Your guide will be waiting to return to the lodge where you will spend the evening at leisure recovering from the trek. You may opt to do a cultural visit if you are feeling energetic. Dinner and overnight at the lodge as above.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park (Rwanda)
After morning breakfast, meet the driver/guide after which you will cross to Rwanda via the Cyanika border with lunch en route and continue to visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo and later in the evening, connect to check into your booked lodge. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Muhambura – Budget

Day 4; Golden Monkey Trekking
You will have breakfast and report back to the park headquarters where you will get a skilled ranger guide and start your golden monkey trek in Volcanoes National Park. This is a rather short experience that can last 1 hour or 3 hours. After spending time with the golden monkeys, you will go back to the lodge for lunch then after connecting to enjoy the Ibyiwachu cultural tour. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 5: Transfer to Bukavu Via Cyngugu
You will meet your guide after breakfast waiting to welcome you and head on your drive to cross into Congo through the Cyangugu border to Bukavu town in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Upon arrival at Bukavu the nearest town to Kahuzi Biega, advance to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Panorama – Budget

Day 6: Lowland gorilla trekking – Cyangungu
After having a delicious breakfast at the lodge, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about the Eastern lowland gorillas. Thereafter, you will set off to an incredible experience of meeting face to face with our closest cousin said to have 98% DNA. The trekking experience takes you into the valley of Kahuzi where you will be able to encounter different mammals species, various birds, and primates. It can last 1 to 6 hours’ experience, depending on their movement. Once you find them, one hour will be allowed to spend with them as you enjoy picture taking as well as capturing videos for your future remembrance.
You will then descend back and meet up with your driver to drive you back to your hotel for Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Panorama

Day 7: Transfer back to Kigali
Have an early morning breakfast and drive for a Kigali city tour. The drive takes 7 hours drive passing through Nyungwe Forest National Park with en-route visit to the King’s Palace in Nyanza and Butare National Museum before proceeding to Kigali with a picnic lunch, connect to Kigali International Airport for your flight departure. Note that your Rwanda Visa expires immediately after you cross into Congo so you will have to re-apply for another while at the border and find it ready after the tour.

Day 8: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
On this day, you will enjoy breakfast and then set off on a 4-5 hours scenic drive to Nyungwe National park-one of the oldest rainforests in Africa and home to over 13 species of primate. Dinner and overstay at Gishahura Visit Centre – Budget

Day 9: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk
Enjoy breakfast and embark on a briefing about the endangered chimpanzees before entering the forest in search of the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest. The Chimpanzees are much easier to see while jumping from one tree branch to another, chattering and laughing. Chimpanzee tracking usually takes about 3 hours. Once finding them, spend one hour taking pictures and videos capturing. You will then return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will head on a walking trail that will take you to the Canopy Walk swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will be able to watch the amazing rainforest with a bird’s eye view, watching wildlife moving about below you. Before nightfall, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner as above.

Day 10: Transfer to Kigali city
On your last day of the 10 Days Uganda, Rwanda, and Congo Tour, enjoy breakfast at leisure and depart back to Kigali. You will embark on a city tour where you will visit the Kimironko market and the Kigali genocide memorial site. After having your lunch, you will be dropped at the hotel advised or you will be dropped at Kigali airport for your scheduled flight back home.
