12 Days Uganda, Rwanda & Congo Safaris : This 12 day takes you to an ultimate visit Uganda, Rwanda and Congo tour package that combines remarkable activities and attractions to see while on safari. The trip starts from Uganda and ends in Kigali.
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Bwindi National Park- 8 to 9 hours’ drive
Transfer to Bwindi: Depending your point of location in Kampala -Uganda, our safari driver guide will pick you up and brief you about the Safari. After transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Southwestern region of Uganda with a stopover at the Quarter to have fun of memorable photography, visit craft shops around. Continue to drive with another stop for en route lunch and after you will proceed a drive to final destination. Arrive and check in at the lodge have rest as you wait for the next day activity.

Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Gorilla Trekking: Wake up have early morning breakfast served with donuts with packed lunch boxes. Your driver will pick you and transfers you to the park head quarter for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking before heading out your incredible experience of gorilla trekking in green beautiful montane rain forest. After a short briefing you will be accompanied by the ranger and you’re free to ask him any question about mountain gorillas. The trek can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of gorillas. Once gorillas are found, you will be given one hour to watch them as they play around, feed their younger ones, learn their life style as well as enjoying your packed lunch boxes with memorable picture taking for your future remembrance. After hike back to the park headquarters meet your safari driver –drives you back to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.
Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes national park (Rwanda) ‘’4hour’’
After morning breakfast, meet the driver / guide and after which you will cross to Rwanda via the Cyanika border with lunch en-route and proceed to visit the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo and later in the evening, connect to check in your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Muhabura (Budget)/ Le Bambou lodge (Midrange)
Day 4; Golden Monkey Trekking and Ibyi’wacu Village Tour
On the 4th day of your 12 Days Uganda, Rwanda & Congo Safaris, you will have breakfast and report back to the park headquarters where you will get a ranger guide and start your golden monkey trek in volcanoes national park. This is a rather short experience that can last an hour or three hours. After spending time with the golden monkeys, you will go and have lunch then after connect to enjoy Ibyi’wachu cultural tour. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 5: Hike Mount Bisoke and transfer to Gisenyi
After breakfast at your Lodge, you will set out for a one-day hike Mount Bisoke where you will have gainful views of the beautiful slopes and also get a chance to see the forest while on the mountain, hike back for the lunch at the lodge . Then transfer to Gisenyi with offer of beautiful and excellent views of Lake Kivu and its stunning sandy beaches. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge. Have dinner and overnight stay
Day 6: Morning boat ride on L. Kivu
After having breakfast, you will go for morning boat ride on lake Kivu where you will have a chance to explore the surrounding islands and view a number of bird species around the area, have lunch at the lodge and spend the rest of the day resting. Overnight in Gisenyi town at Gorilla Kivu Lodge (Midrange)/ Paradise Malahide (budget)
Day 7; Transfer to Nyungwe national park
After enjoying your breakfast, you will embark on 4-5 hours scenic drive to Nyungwe national park-one of the oldest rainforests in Africa and a home to 13 species of primate. Dinner and over stay at Gisakura Visitor Centre (Budget)/ Nyungwe Top hill view hotel (Midrange)
Day 8; Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk
Enjoy breakfast and go for briefing before entering the forest, searching for the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest. The Chimpanzees are the easy to spot, as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimp tracking usually takes about 3 hours. You will then return to your accommodation for lunch. After lunch, you will go on a walking trail that will take you to the Canopy Walk, a swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will be able to see the amazing rainforest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife moving about below you. Before night fall, you will return to the hotel for dinner as above
Day 9: Isumo Waterfalls Hike
After having breakfast on the fourth day of your 12 Days Uganda, Rwanda ,Congo Safari, you will embark on the forest Nature walk with in the park which will enable you to explore the Park’s unique tourist features including waterfalls and orchids in the high altitude swamps. Return to the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing or Participate in optional activities like the tea harvesting in the neighboring local communities or Visit a tea factory and learn about the production processes. Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Top Hill View Hotel (Midrange)/ Gisakura Visitor Center (Budget)
Day 10: Transfer to Bukavu via Cyangugu
On the 10th day of your 12 Days Uganda, Rwanda & Congo Safaris, After having breakfast at your lodge, you will meet up with your driver guide and drive to -Bukavu in the Democratic Republic of Congo via the Cyangugu border. Once you have cleared with immigration office at the border, you will connect with your Congo driver guide and proceed to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Panorama Hotel
Day 11: Eastern Lowland Gorilla Trekking and Visit Lwiro Sanctuary
Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast before driving to the park headquarters where you will be briefed before your gorilla trek. You will be joined by other trekkers and head into the forest in search of eastern lowland gorillas. Trekking can take between 2-4 hours or more depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be given an hour to spend with the gorillas before heading back to your hotel for lunch.
After lunch, you will visit Lwiro Sanctuary where orphaned and rescued chimps are looked after. You will take a tour of the facilities and get to learn more about the conservation work taking place there.
Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay the same as the previous night.
Day 12: Cross Back to Cyangugu and Transfer Back to Kigali
Enjoy breakfast at leisure and transfer back to Kigali. You will go on a city tour where you will visit the Kimironko market and the Kigali genocide memorial site. After having your lunch, you will be dropped at the hotel as advised or you will be dropped at Kigali airport for your scheduled flight back home. End of Tour
