Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport and be Picked

On day 1 of the 13 Days Best Uganda Wildlife Safari, upon your arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you will meet our safari driver guide who will welcome you in the beauty of the Pearl of Africa. Brief you about the 13 Days Uganda Safari as he drives you to your reserved hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

On the 2nd day of the 13 Days Best Uganda Wildlife Safari, wake up early enjoy your breakfast and drive to Murchison Falls National Park via the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have a high chance to trek the Rhinos an activity which takes 1hour depending on their movements.

After, you will continue the journey to Masindi town for lunch en –route and drive to Murchison Falls National Park, a journey which takes 4 to 5 hours’ drive to access the park. You will arrive at your reserved lodge. Optional to visit the top of the falls before accessing your lodge. Dinner and Overnight stay

Day 3: Morning Game drive and Boat Safari-Nile River

On the 3rd day of the 13 Days Best Uganda Wildlife Safari, wake up early have a relaxed breakfast, and then set off for the morning game drive as the sunrises out, drive to Nyamsika plateau best location for the game drive in the park. You will be able to witness animals such as Rothschild’s giraffes, Cape buffaloes, Uganda kob, hartebeest, and waterbucks as well as Oribis, bush duiker, bush duiker, hartebeest, waterbucks, Bohor reedbuck, shy sitatunga, warthogs, bush pig and large carnivores such as lions, leopards as well as spotted hyenas. In Murchison Falls National Park Chimpanzees and Olive baboons are the heads of the six primate species.

As you will be driving along the banks of the Nile River expect to sight see Crocodiles and hippos and some other water birds like heron, pelican, bee-eaters, kingfishers, horn hill, cormorant, saddle bill stork and the rare shoe bill stork. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and later afternoon boat cruise.

Afternoon boat cruise: Later on, go for a boat cruise at the bottom of the falls where you will witness a spectacular view of hippos, Crocodiles, waterbuck. You will cruise close to Devil’s Cauldron for picture taking and sight viewing. Dinner and Overnight stay

Day 4: Visit the top of the falls &Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Visit the top of the Falls: After having breakfast. You will check out of the lodge, and go visit the thunderous waterfalls where you will observe the River Nile squeezing itself into a 7-meter gorge before it goes 40 meters down in a thunderous explosion and then flows down into a very peaceful river.

 After, drive out of Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest National Park while passing through a beautiful countryside dotted with traditional homesteads, tea plantations as well as a trading center where you can have a stopover for viewing. You will enjoy your lunch en – route. Arrive in the late afternoon. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking & Nature Walk in Kibale Forest

Chimpanzee Tracking: Wake up early have breakfast, and drive at the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre for a briefing about chimpanzee rules. The track takes 2 to 6 hours depending on their movements in the jungle. You will have chances to see other primates like black and white monkeys, Vervet monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, species of birds, and a variety of butterflies.

Once you find them, you will be allowed one hour to watch them how they play, feed as well as enjoy photography. After trekking, drive back to the lodge for lunch and relax.

Nature walk: Later on, you will go for a nature walk around Bigodi wetland to view other notable bird species and monkey species. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 6: Game drive and Boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Game drive: Wake up have breakfast, and drive for an early morning Game drive where you expect to see animals like leopards, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, topi, bushbuck, tree climbing lions among others. Return to the lodge for lunch as you wait for the afternoon boat cruise.

Boat cruise: In the afternoon will go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which contains the highest population of hippos and offers the perfect platform for photography. Bird viewing and game viewing along water shores. Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 7: Morning Game drive &Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Morning game drive: After morning breakfast, drive to the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park for en-route game drive –where you will be able to watch the rare tree climbing lions and other wildlife species. You will have en –route lunch. Afterward, continue to drive through rewardable Countryside, bamboo forest, and scenic landscapes along the way.

Arrive at the park in the late afternoon, and check in at the lodge for dinner and an Overnight stay.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking –Bwindi 

Gorilla trekking: Wake up enjoy your early morning breakfast and after go to the park headquarters to join other trackers in a briefing about the gorilla trekking rules at 7:30 am. Then meet the park ranger guide to group you into a group of 8 people and he will lead you through a forest trail in search of the gorilla. The gorilla trekking experience covers 2 to 8 hours so you have to be energetic enough. After locating them, you will be given one hour to observe them, enjoy photography, and capture video for future remembrance. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 9: Visit the Batwa trails & Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Visit the Batwa trails: After morning breakfast, go visit the Batwa trails where you will meet the Batwa people and interact with them, enjoy their traditional dances and songs, and others. Then, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park via Igongo Cultural Centre to visit the place where you will be amazed by Ankole traditional dances, and visit craft shops to buy souvenirs to take back home. Have lunch at Igongo Cultural Center.

You will continue to drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Arrive in the late afternoon and relax the entire evening. Dinner and Overnight stay

Day10: Game drive and Boat cruise –Lake Mburo

Game drive: After breakfast, drive to Acacia Woodland where you will be able to watch Zebras, Warthogs, Eland, Impala many more. Drive back to the lodge have lunch and relaxation.

Nature walk: Later on, embark on a nature walk in the park on foot with an experienced game ranger who will explain to you which animals have left behind footprints and drops. Dinner and Overnight stay

Day11: Morning Game drive and horse ride –Lake Mburo

Day 12: Return to Kampala

Return back to Kampala: After morning breakfast. You will check out of the lodge. Then drive back to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator to do a water experience, photography, and visit the craft shops around. Continue a drive to Kampala and arrive in the late afternoon. Day 13: Visit the Ngamba Island  Chimp Sanctuary

Visit Ngamba Island: After breakfast, you will be picked up by our safari driver guide and transferred to Lake Victoria for you to take a boat cruise to Ngamba Island.

Upon your arrival on the Island, you will be briefed about the sanctuary. After you will proceed to spend all your time with chimpanzee as they feed and swing on the tree branches.

Later on, you head out for a nature walk on the Island to explore other species. Depending on your departure flight you will be transferred to the Entebbe International Airport for your flight departure or to be dropped to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Dinner and Overnight stay
