Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:  Pick up and Bwindi Forest National Park via Cyanika border

On day 1 of the 13 Days Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania Safari, upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport or at the hotel in Kigali, you will be picked by our skilled safari driver–guide. Start the journey to Uganda via the Cyanika border to connect to Bwindi impenetrable national park a great home to unique mountain gorillas with en-route lunch. You can opt to visit Lake Bunyonyi for a boat trip where you will be stunned by great view of the 29 islands along the lake during your boat launch. Then after, proceed to your booked lodge in Bwindi for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2:  Gorilla trekking Uganda – Batwa community tour

On day 2 of the 13 Days Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania Safari, you will have an early morning breakfast and then after, be driven to the park headquarters with your packed lunch boxes for briefing about Gorilla trekking rules. Later, head into the forest for your trek. The tracking can take between 2 to 7 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas. Once you allocate them, one hour is allowed to be spent with them in their natural habitat. During, that one hour, you will be able to learn about gorilla behaviors, and habits as well as enjoy memorable photography. Thereafter, you will trek back from where you started – to get rewarded with your successful certificate in gorilla trekking, meet your driver guide to connect back to your lodge. Dinner and overnight.

You can opt to go visit the Batwa community /people who used to stay together with mountain gorillas in the jungle before the area was established into a national park – home to protect these critically endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park  

Have breakfast, then check out and drive to Kibale National Park a home with the highest population of endangered chimpanzees in East Africa and also home to other primates and animals. You will arrive in time for lunch and then spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking – Bigodi Swamp

Have morning breakfast, then drive to the park headquarters for the briefing about chimpanzee tracking. After you will trek into the forest to search for them, and on finding them, you will be given an hour to spend with chimpanzees.

During trekking, you will be able to view other species in the forest like notable birds, and small monkeys. After trekking, go for a swamp walk in Bigodi swamp a perfect area to visit during your visit here. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe – Fly to Nairobi (Own booked flight)

After having breakfast, followed by a transfer back to Entebbe with an en-route lunch. After lunch, proceed back to Entebbe Airport for your flight to Kenya. Arriving in the late afternoon at Entebbe airport for your onward flight to Kenya – Nairobi.

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta airport, meet your driver to connect to your reserved hotel. Have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park – 3-4 hours’ drive – afternoon game drive

After breakfast, go for a Nairobi city tour to visit attractive places within the city with an en-route lunch. Thereafter, transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at the park and connect for an evening game drive adventure.

 Lake Nakuru is an astonishing place to see thousands of flamingoes and other species of birds, including; the African fish Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Green Wood Hoopoes, Cliff Chat, Great White, and Pink Backed Pelicans plus other intra- African Migrants. It is also a habitat for various black and white rhinos among other. And other animal species to see around include; buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, and zebras. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 7:  Morning game drive – Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Wake up early, enjoy breakfast, and connect for an early morning game drive to explore more of the park’s treasures. During the game drive adventure expect to see animals like; lions, leopards, hyenas, as well as spotting black and white rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, and zebras among others.

Thereafter, drive to Maasai Mara Game Reserve Savannah which is a 3 hours’ drive. Arrive, and check in at your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 8:  Maasai Mara full day game viewing

Enjoy breakfast, drive for full day game drive in the park with your packed lunch boxes in search of Mara’s popular residents such as the big five games like the‌ lion, buffalo, rhino, leopard, and elephant as well as cheetah, zebra, giraffe, and vast herds of plain antelope and numerous and other wildlife species. The Masai Mara plains is the perfect place worldwide to go for the annual wildebeest migration event, which usually occurs from the month of July to mid-October.

Mara River is also a habitat for a wide number of schools of hippos and Nile crocodiles, which lay in wait for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest to find new fresh pastures. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Serengeti National Park via the Isebenia border

Have an early morning breakfast, connect for yet another morning game drive while driving out of the park via Olololo gate in Mara West to connect to Isebania border of Kenya and Tanzania. You will clear with the immigration, cross to Tanzania, and meet with your Tanzanian safari guide waiting to drive you to Serengeti Game Park with en-route lunch.

Arrive at Serengeti National Park, connect to your lodge to the central part of Serengeti with an en-route game drive. The Serengeti plains give a perfect adventure of the Big Five game and a clear view of other animals. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10:  Full day in Serengeti national park

Wake up and have delicious breakfast served at the lodge/camp. Meet up with your safari driver guide to transfer you to Serengeti national park with your packed lunch. The central sector is known for its masculine lions and other wildlife. Later afternoon, you will drive to Central Serengeti for a game drive where you will be able to watch prides of lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, Hyenas, Giraffes, Elephants, different Antelopes, and other wildlife among others. Later in the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11:  Another day in Serengeti national park

Enjoy a delicious breakfast, meet your driver, and head for a full extensive game drive in Serengeti National Park with your packed lunch. You will search for animals like; the Lions, Thomson gazelles, topi, ostriches, cheetahs’ elephants, leopards, hyenas, rhinos many more. Later in the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12:  Ngorongoro crater game viewing experience

After morning breakfast, transfer to Ngorongoro crater with your picnic lunch for a half day of game drive in the crater. The crater is a habitat for a number of Lions and Cheetahs. And it is another awesome safari location to watch the rare black Rhino. In the late afternoon, connect to your reserved lodge for check-in dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13: Transfer to Arusha – Departure

After breakfast at the lodge, check out and transfer to Arusha. Arrive It’s about 3-4 hours’ drive to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Arusha or at the Airport for your onward flight back home.
