13 Days Uganda Sightseeing Adventure : This 13 Days wildlife, primates and cultural safari covers 40% of Uganda’s national parks including Queen Elizabeth national park, Bwindi impenetrable national park, and Semiliki national park, with excursion in the different tourist attractions in Jinji and Fort portal.

Fort portal town – Fort portal town is located in western Uganda in Kabarole district on the edge of equatorial rainforests about 320 kilometres from Kampala and it has been ranked as the best tourism destination in Uganda thus it was named as the tourism city of Uganda because it is at the centre of most tourist attractions in western Uganda. While on this tour, attractions that you will explore include; Amabere Ga nyamiru caves and waterfalls, and hiking on the crater lakes.
Mbale town tours – Mbale town is located in the Eastern region of Uganda close to Uganda-Kenya borders. Mbale has got a lot of key attractions however; during this trip you will visit Sipi falls and Wanale Hill hiking and coffee tour.
Entebbe tours – Entebbe is a town located on a peninsular of Lake Victoria in central Uganda. Just a few kilometres away from Uganda’s main point of entry that is Entebbe international airport, making it a first cheaper place to visit while in Uganda. While on this trip, you will visit the Mabamba swamp for a birding experience finding the most sought bird in the world.
Semiliki national park – this park is located in Bundibugyo district near Fort portal town adjust to Congo Ituri rain forest. The park is a home to Uganda’s largest Sempaya hot springs, about 53 mammal species and over 400 bird species recorded in this park thus making it one of the top birding destination in Africa earning a title of “True birders Haven”
Queen Elizabeth national park – this park is located in the western part of Uganda offering the great experience of different Antelope species. Queen Elizabeth national park is home to the tree climbing lions in Uganda. The park is occupied by 2 great lakes – Lake Edward and Lake George which meet at a channel commonly known as the Kazinga channel. Queen Elizabeth national park has plenty of animals and other experiences to be enjoy while on your stay in Uganda ranging from wildlife, culture, boat cruise to nature walks for bird watching and chimpanzee trekking.
Bwindi Impenetrable national park – this park is one of Uganda’s oldest national park with diverse rainforest of over 25,000 years ago and contains about 400 plant species. Bwindi Impenetrable national park inhabits half of the remaining endangered mountain gorillas in the world and it is divided into 4 sectors including; Buhoma sector which is the oldest trekking sector, Rushaga sector which has the largest number of gorilla families, Ruhija sector and finally Nkuringo sector.

Details itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Sipi falls – Coffee tour
Depending on your location, meet your safari guide and embark on your journey to Sipi falls in Kapchwora district, it’s a 5-6 hours’ drive with en-route lunch. On arrival visit the Coffee plantation for a coffee experience. Connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Sipi Valley Lodge/Sipi River Lodge

Day 2: Hike Sipi falls – drive to Mbale town
Afte breakfast, connect to the Sipi falls offices where you will get a local guide Thereafter embark on the hike of the 3 falls. Sipi falls is located in the foothills of Mount Elgon just at the edge of Mount Elgon national park nearing the Kenya border and the falls consist of 3 waterfalls with the highest fall dropping at 100m, 85m and 74m respectively. Depending on your ability, you can hike all the 3 falls, do other available experiences like swimming. Later afternoon, drive to Mbale town. Dinner and overnight at Wash and Wills Hotel/Mbale Resort Hotel
Day 3: Hike Wanale hill
After breakfast, connect to hike Wanale hill with your packed lunch. Wanale hill is located in the outskirts of Mbale hill with ragged slopes with a height of about 6,864 feet. Enjoy the hike while you encounter the Wanale falls, caves and beautiful views of the Mbale city and other beautiful areas and at some point swim in the water falls. Later evening return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay as above
Day 4: Drive to Jinja via Busitema – visit source of the Nile
After early morning breakfast, Drive to Jinja via Tororo- Busia road and visit Busitema forest reserve. Take a nature walk in the forest for primates walk like Olive baboons, vervet monkeys, Colobus monkeys and some bird species. Have en-route lunch and connect to Jinja town, check-in your hotel. Later afternoon, connect to visit the source of the Nile. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Source Garden Hotel/Source of the Nile Resort
Day 5: White water rafting
After breakfast, drive to the starting area for your white water rafting experience – grad 5 rafting. On arrival, you will receive a briefing and given the rafting gears then proceed to the rafting point for an adventurous rafting activity with lunch provided. Drive back to Kampala. Dinner and overnight at Bushpig backpackers/Fairway Hotel/Sheraton Hotel
Day 6: Transfer to Fort portal town – Tea planation and visit Amabere caves and water
After breakfast, check-out if the hotel and transfer to Fort portal city. It’s a 6-7 hours’ drive with en-route in fort portal town. After lunch visit the tea plantation for a tea processing experience and connect to visit the Amabere caves and waterfalls. Later evening connect to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay Toroo Resort Hotel/Rajah Ex-leisure Hotel/Mountain of the Moon
Day 7: Drive to Semuliki national park – Hot springs visit falls
After very early morning breakfast, transfer to Semuliki national park which is about 2 hours’ drive from Fort portal; connect for the Sempaya hot springs visit both the female and male hot springs and enjoy its historical formation story narrated by the rangers. Haven en-route lunch, drive back to fort portal. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at hotel as above

Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park – afternoon boat cruise
After breakfast, meet your guide and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. It’s a 3 hours’ drive arriving there at good time for lunch. After check-in and your lunch, connect for afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel for wildlife/bird watching experience as you cruise on lake Edward/George. Dinner and overnight stay at Pumba Safari lodge/Parkview Safari Lodge/Elephant Plains Lodge
Day 9: Morning game drive – evening game drive – Ishasha sector
After breakfast early morning, go for a morning game drive in Kisenyi area where you will spot a good number of wildlife including Elephants, Buffaloes, and all species of antelopes. Return to your lodge, have lunch and check-out to connect to Ishasha sector with en-route evening game drive, check-in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Enjojo lodge/Ishasha Jungle Lodge/Ishasha Wilderness Camp
Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After breakfast, meet to safari guide, connect for a brief game drive for chances of seeing the tree climbing lions. Thereafter, embark on your drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park. It’s a 5 hours’ drive with en-route lunch in Buhoma sector. Check-in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Community Rest Camp/Buhoma Haven Lodge/Bwindi Lodge
Day 11: Gorilla trekking – nature walk
Wake up early, have breakfast, and connect to the forest with your packed food and water. The briefing from the park warden about the gorillas starts at 8 am where your will be guided on highlights about the way of life of the gorillas you will be tracking. The hike can take anything from 2-8 hours. Once you reach the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away, while doing your gorilla trekking experience, you will also be doing a nature walk in the Bwindi forest with sights of birds and other primates speceis. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stat at lodge as above

Day 12: Transfer to Entebbe
After breakfast, embark on your journey to Entebbe. It’s about 8-9 hours’ drive with en-route lunch in Mbarara town and the Uganda equator. Proceed to Entebbe for dinner and overnight stay at Via via Guesthouse/2 Friends Guesthouse/Protea Entebbe Hotel
Day 13: Mabamba swamp walk – Departure
After breakfast, connect to mabamba swamp on Lake Victoria. Upon arrival in Mabamba Swamp, you get to the canoe and head to the swamp in the company of a local person worth expertise in paddling through the narrow water channels surrounded by dense swamp vegetation. Birding in Uganda`s Mabamba on Lake Victoria swamp features counts of birds including the rare and the Vulnerable Shoebill stork, the Allen’s and Purple Gallinule, Grey herons, Jacanas, Ruffaus Squaco, the globally threatened Pallid Harrier and Bellied Heron.
Return for lunch at the lodge, relax and later depending on your flight schedule, you will be dropped at Entebbe airport for your onward flight back home. End of Safari
