The 17 Days Uganda Safari Tour is quite an unbeaten safari tour package leading you through several different Uganda tourism locations that offer great safari adventure.
This trip starts and ends in Kampala/Entebbe International Airport.
Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park walking safari
On day 1 of the 17 Days Uganda Safari Tour, upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your safari driver and drive to Lake Mburo National Park. The journey takes about 4 hours’ drive with en-route stop at the Uganda Equator if you wish to. Arrive at Lake Mburo National Park, connect to your booked lodge with en-route game drive. Check-in and have lunch.
Later afternoon, connect for a walking safari where you will be able to view wildlife on foot, encounter animals like the Zebras, impalas, giraffes among others. The park is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks. After seeing, some of the animals. Drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Kisoro (Nkuringo sector)
After an early morning breakfast, drive out the look for the early risers on a good day you may adventure the lions and the leopards. Do not forget to carry your camera in order to keep all your memories forever intact and to ensure not to miss out detail on your unforgettable trip.
After the game drive, drive out of the park and transfer to Kisoro – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Nkuringo sector. The journey covers about 6-7 hours’ drive with en-route lunch. Arrive late afternoon, check-in at your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Nkuringo-Buhoma trail
After breakfast, drive to park office carry your backpack and head on your nature walk. This is a thrilling trail that takes 4-6 hours as you explore Bwindi Impenetrable forest. This trail crosses right through the Park from Nkuringo to Buhoma and it connects to two villages.
This trail is interesting with great views of the misty hillsides offered as you climb the Hill towards Nkuringo. You will leave your other luggage with the driver who will meet you on the other side – Buhoma sector. Arrive, meet your safari driver and drive to your booked lodge to rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking experience – Buhoma sector
Have a delicious early morning breakfast and drive to the park headquarters in Rushaga sector with your packed lunch boxes, for briefing by the ranger guides and later head into the forest for your trek. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. On finding them, you will be given 1 hour to view and take photos of these gentle primates, enjoy your lunch. After, this amazing gorilla trekking experience, hike back to the starting point and meet your driver/guide and transfer back to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Ishasha game drive
Wake up enjoy your relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is about 4-5 hours’ drive. Arrive, connect to your lodge for check-in, have lunch and later afternoon, connect for a game drive in Ishasha sector for opportunity of seeing the unique tree-climbing lions, which can be seen while hanging on different tree branches. Later evening, return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Another day game drive in Ishasha game drive
After breakfast, meet your safari driver and connect for yet another full day game drive in the Ishasha sector. Drive back to your lodge, meals, and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 7: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.
After having an aroma coffee or tea served with tasty donuts, connect for a game drive in the Kasenyi area animals such as the lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, different species of antelopes, warthogs and white Colobus monkeys just to mention a few. Drive to your lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will get a chance to see variety of bird species, elephants and buffalos, hippos and crocodiles at the lake shores. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Chimpanzee tracking/primates walk in Kyambura gorge – evening game drive
After breakfast early in the morning, you will depart for Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura forest with your tracking gears. The trekking experience in search of the chimpanzee generally takes around 2‐5 hours. When found spend an hour with the chimpanzees before you return for lunch at your lodge. Return for lunch at the lodge. Later afternoon, spend your day at leisure, and have an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Mweya Peninsular nature walk
After breakfast, connect for your nature walk experience at Mweya Peninsular. This is a connecting point where the Kazinga channel link to Lake Edward and Lake George. After go meet the ranger, set off for the activity. Mweya peninsular offers great insight of wildlife, bird species and most especially the Mongoose animals. Mweya peninsular is home to over 400 banded mongooses and there are about 12 groups but each group sleeps together with its individuals in the underground den at night. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Transfer to Kibale national park – crater lakes
On day 1o of the 17 Days Uganda Safari Tour, wake up have breakfast, drive to visit Katwe salt mine area, visit the unique crater lakes which is found around the park with en-route stop in Fort portal for lunch. Then after, proceed to the Kibale national park with en-route crater lake tours. Check-in at your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Chimpanzee Trekking – Bigodi Swamp
On day 11 of the 17 Days Uganda Safari Tour, wake up early and drive to the Kibale Forest meeting center for briefing before you hike in the forest in search of the exuberant chimpanzee’s groups in the Kibale forest. Tracking chimpanzees in their natural habitat as they swing from the branches in the canopy high above the forest floor, is a remarkable experience. Though they can be difficult to adventure, you will be in no doubt of their presence as the forest is alive with their noisy calls. Spend one hour in their presence. After trekking, go for a swamp walk in Bigodi swamp – one of the richest swamps with birds and primates such as Baboons, red tailed monkey, Black and white monkey many more. Diner and overnight.

Day 12: Transfer to Budongo forest – Murchison falls national park
On day 12 of the 17 Days Uganda Safari Tour, after breakfast, check-out of the lodge and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey takes 6-7 hours’ drive with en-route lunch. Start the hike into the forest via the Kichumbanyobo gate from Masindi town, connect to your booked lodge to check-in, chill, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13: Chimpanzee tracking – top of the falls hike
After having early morning breakfast, go for Chimpanzee tracking in Kaniyo Eco-tourism site in Budongo forest, which is the biggest Mahogany forest in East Africa and home to about 80 habituated chimpanzees. Arrive very early so that you can start the forest walk in search of the chimpanzees, you will also enjoy the view and sound of birds and you will spend about 2-4 hours in look for them, depending on their movement. Once finding them, you will spend one hour watching them eat, rest and play. Thereafter, have lunch and connect to visit the top of the Murchison falls and the bakers’ trail. Proceed to check-in for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 14: Morning Game drive and launch cruise
On day 14 of the 17 Days Uganda Safari Tour, have early morning breakfast and then go for a morning game drive where you will explore various animal species like lions, leopards, hyena, elephants, giraffes, Uganda kobs among others. Return and have lunch.
Later afternoon, you set off for a launch cruise at the bottom of the Murchison Falls along River Nile, enjoy stunning views of hippo and serried ranges of crocodile along the sandbanks, as well as large various different species getting down to drink & bathe. Drive back to your lodge with en-route game viewing. Dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Nature walk and community
On day 15 of the 17 Days Uganda Safari Tour, after breakfast, meet your safari driver and connect for guided nature walk in the park. Back to the lodge, have lunch and later afternoon, take on a community tour. Dinner and overnight
Day 16: Ziwa rhino tracking – transfer to Entebbe
Transfer to Ziwa rhino sanctuary for your on-foot rhino tracking experience, after a morning breakfast. You will receive a briefing and then track rhinos for about 1-2 hours’ drive. Head on your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe with en-route lunch. This is about 5-6 hours’ drive. Upon arrival, check-in at your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 17: Mabamba swamp tour
On the last day of the 17 Days Uganda Safari Tour, after breakfast, meet your driver and connect to the landing area as early as 8 am, you will meet your local guide for your canoe ride to Mabamba swamp, take a boat to the swamp and get chances to meet various bird species and mostly the most sought bird that is the Shoebill stock bird. This will take 1-2 hours depending on the availability of the birds.
After the swamp tour, go for lunch then drive to be dropped off at Entebbe airport for your onward flight back home departing, marking the end of the safari.
