Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes national park

Transfer to Volcanoes national park: On day 1 of 2 days Dian Fossey hike, be ready for a pickup from your communicated location in Kigali Rwanda be it a hotel where you would have probably spent an overnight a day before your safari or direct from Kigali international airport upon landing and depending on your arrival time, you will enjoy a brief kigali city tour exploring the best spots in the city such as kigali genocide memorial sites, market places, craft shops and many more after which your will have lunch and have a 2hours drive to Volcanoes national park where you will arrive in the evening. Proceed to the lodge for check in, dinner and night sleep. There is an option of visiting the Ibyiwacu cultural center for an evening cultural tour or have a visit to the twin lakes of Burela and Ruhondo.

Day 2: Hike Dian fossey return to Kigali for departures

Hike Dian Fossey and return to Kigali for departures: After breakfast at your lodge on day 2 of 2 days Dian Fossey hike safari, pack a lunch box, enough drinking water, and some snacks then wear a suitable hiking gear including waterproof hiking boats, garden gloves, long sleeved clothes, a cup, sun glasses, insect repellant and pack a rain jacket. Meet your safari driver ready to be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing about Dian Fossey hike where you will be informed of all information about Dian Fossey and her research center at Karisoke then set off on a hike to visit Dian Fossey grave. The hike passes through vegetation cover in Volcanoes national park while spotting lots of wildlife including primates, mammals, birds, butterflies and may other fauna species that thrill in this stunning vegetation of the park. Proceed ascending till you get to Karisoke research center where the grave of Dian Fossey is found.
