Our 2 Days Nyerere National Park Game Drive and Boat Safari commences from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park ‘’Selous Game Reserve, in a safari car accompanied by our expert driver. Nyerere National Park sits on a large piece of land, almost twice the size of the Serengeti. The park was created in 2019, covering an area of about 30,000square kilometers of relatively undisturbed ecological, including a diverse range of wildlife and the Rufiji River.
Detailed Itinerary for 2 Days Nyerere National Park Game Drive and Boat Safari
Day 1: From Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park
Our experienced driver-guide will pick you up from Dar es Salaam in the morning and drive you to Nyerere National Park ‘’formerly known as Selous Game Reserve’’ via the Kisarawe Route, which takes about 3.5hours.
On arriving at Nyerere National Park, you will embark on a game drive until sunset. During a game drive, you will explore various wildlife, including lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, antelopes many more. In addition to that, you can enjoy the diverse landscape featuring dry grasslands, light acacia forests, and elevated areas with breathtaking views of distant mountains. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Boat Safari and return to Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, you will head on a boat safari on the Rufiji River, Tanzania’s largest and longest river. The Rufiji River stretches approximately 600km from its source in southwestern Tanzania to its mouth in the Indian Ocean. While on a boat tour, you will be able to see various attractions, including crocodiles, hippos, river cliffs and various bird species.
Following the boat tour, you will connect to the lodge for lunch. Afterward, check out of the camp and set journey back to Dar es Salaam, with lunch served along the way.
