Day 1: Pick up from Nairobi and Travel to Kora National Park, Kenya
Start with a pick up by our Kenyan safari driver guide, and then transfer to Kora National Park is home to a diverse ecosystem of acacia woodlands and lush riverine forests along the Tana River. It has a rich history connected to George Adamson and the Born Free story, and its substantial elephant population makes it a perfect, less-visited ‘’last wilderness. Arrive in time for lunch and after lunch. Go on a game drive to explore the park’s diverse wildlife, including caracals, cheetahs, hippos, elephants, and various antelope species.
You will discover the towering inselbergs and rocky outcrops that define the park’s rugged beauty.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive/Birding /Departure
After morning breakfast, go on a morning game drive to explore more of the animal species, or opt to go birding.
Kora is a great location for birding, with various species, including the endangered Malindi Pipit and the Basara Reed Warbler, among others. If you have time, you can go visit the former home and airstrips of George Adamson, the ‘’Father of Lions’’ and a key figure in the history of the park. After, return back to Nairobi to be dropped at any advised place. End of the tour.
