Day 1: Travel to Bwindi
Set out very early morning from your address and begin a long travel to Bwindi with breakfast at equator line crossing point. You will wander through the Victoria basin and the Ankole plateau, before ascending and descending the Kigezi highlands onto Kabale town for your lunch. You will travel and visit an indigenous Batwa pygmy community that used to share the Bwindi habitat with wildlife and explore their life experiences. You will check into your safari camp on the edges of the Bwindi rainforest and let the realities of Uganda gorilla trekking safari set in.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking, travel to Bunyonyi
Set out early morning with lunch boxes for the tourism rangers’ office in time for pre gorilla trekking mandatory briefing. Soon all travelers are put in groups according to the gorilla families and the ranger escorts descend you into the rainforest. This is an opportunity to wander into the rainforest, explore and discover the realities of nature and the wilderness. Shortly after your gorilla trekking and wilderness experiences, you will set out and travel out of the rainforest to another safari camp on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi. You will take a brief exploration boat cruise, tour some interesting sites and share wonderful experiences with the resident guide.
Day 3: Travel to Kampala
You will take breakfast shortly after sunrise and begin travel back to Kampala. You will have a lunch break at the equator line crossing point with maximum opportunity to grab a Uganda gorilla trekking safari souvenir item. You will arrive in Kampala late afternoon and the safari guide will escort you to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or your agreed address.
