Detailed Itinerary for3 Days Gorilla Trekking Tour in Uganda
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked up at your agreed location in Kampala /Entebbe or if you fly in early in the morning before 9 am. You will be briefed about the safari and transfer to Bwindi via Kampala – Masaka – Mbarara route. You will have a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe town along Masaka Road for photography and water experiments, before proceeding for another stopover at Igongo cultural center in Mbarara for lunch en-route.
You will proceed to drive directly to the park and arrive late in the evening, check in your lodge for dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Wake up have an early morning breakfast at the lodge, and carry your packed lunch boxes because gorilla trekking is unpredictable. You will be driven by the guide to park headquarters where you will be briefed by the skilled park ranger about the gorilla families, their behaviors, and gorilla trekking guidelines to ensure your safety.
After the briefing, you will be divided into small groups of 8 people and be accompanied by skilled park rangers and gorilla trackers and be led to an assigned gorilla family to track.
Gorilla trekking is unpredictable and can last between 30 minutes and 7 hours depending on the location and movement of the gorillas. Once you find the gorilla family, you will be allowed one hour to spend with them as you learn about their behaviors, habits, play, grooming, and laying their nest on the ground in the evening hours.
After hiking back to the park headquarters to be rewarded with your gorilla certificate which shows you participated in gorilla trekking. Then meet your driver guide to drive you back lodge or go visit the Batwa community who will guide you through their unique culture through traditional dance, music, and storytelling among others. Back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 3: Depart to Kampala /Entebbe or Kigali
On your last day of the 3 Days Gorilla Trekking Tour in Uganda, will have a mouthwatering breakfast and check of the lodge, and then transfer back to Kampala/Kigali. Upon arrival, your driver will drop you off at your hotel in Kampala or drive to Entebbe International Airport for a scheduled flight back home. Or go cross the border to Rwanda and upon arrival in Kigali, go for a city tour and then be driven to Kigali Airport.
