This 3 Days Rwanda Primate Trekking Safari leads you to a Kigali city tour and a visit to Volcanoes National Park. This trip allows you to visit twin lakes, Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo, trek with gorillas and golden monkeys, as well as experience unique culture where you will enjoy a local king reigning over his people. This tour also allows you to visit a local market where you can buy some souvenirs to take to your beloved ones.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Visit Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival, our driver guide be waiting to pick you up and transfer you to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center but depending on your arrival time. You will learn the history that occurred in 1994 genocide of 250,000 Tutsi tribe. Visiting this 20th-century memorial site is quite emotional. After visiting the memorial Centre. You will transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive in the evening, connect for an overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, our driver guide with drive you to the park headquarter for a briefing about gorilla trekking rules. After briefing, you will be divided into 8 people per group, then be allocated to a gorilla family you’re assigned too while accompanied by the park ranger into the jungle. The trekking estimates 1 to 6hours to meet them, depending on their movements. On finding them, you will have an hour to watch them play, feed, behave, do their daily life routine as you film them.
You will hike back to the starting point to meet your driver guide to transfer you to the next activity. You will go enjoy cultural dance experience, enter an environment where a king reigned and watch an authentic traditional medicine.
You will also experience the ancient local milling stone and watch their traditional marriage rituals under a king’s reign.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking, Visit Twin Lakes and Back to Kigali
After morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and be driven to the park headquarter for briefing about Golden monkey tracking dos and don’ts. You will be given one hour to spend them, watch as they swing on different tree branches. After, you will drive back to Kigali with en-route lunch, visit beautiful twin lakes ‘’Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo’’. The scenes are rewarding and you are welcome to enjoy photo shoots or videos.
Thereafter, you will proceed the journey to the city, which may include a stop at a local market to observe how the local Rwandan people do their daily business.
