Safari highlights
4 Day bwindi & queen elizabeth park safari. On this safari we travel west of Kampala city through the Ankole region onto the Kigezi highlands and Mountain gorilla homerange; Bwindi Impenetrable Forests. The traveler will explore the thickly enclosed rainy and cold rainforest and trek the Mountain gorillas, before ascending north onto the Edward rift and wander into the open, dry and hot woodland grasslands. Day 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your safari guide on tour into Uganda picks you up from your address in the morning and you set out for a long safari of the Uganda countryside. A brief stop at the equator line crossing point in Kayabwe town is ideal for hot coffee, photo opportunity and an educative geographic experiment. You will have a lunch break on a restaurant on a scenic escarpment overlooking the hanging valleys of Kigezi highlands. You embark on your travel traversing the Kigezi highlands onto your hotel on the edges of the Bwindi rainforests and interact with other clients on the same Uganda mountain gorilla trekking expedition.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking, travel to Queen Elizabeth
You set out of the safari lodge with lunch boxes and travel to the gorilla trekking assembly point. The gorilla trekking adrenalin is at its highest point and the ranger guides will calm your nerves sharing their previous gorilla trekking stories and experiences. Shortly team of rangers escort you into the rainforest explaining in detail every strange encounters with nature and wildlife. Explore and traverse the forests moving in the directions of hooting gorillas. Keep recommended safe distance and observe all pre gorilla trekking briefs to get exciting interaction and experiences with the gorillas. Soon you will rejoin with your safari guide and embark on travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving at your hotel after an exciting sunset game viewing drive.
Day 3: Game drive, boat cruise
Rise up at cockcrow and set out for the wilderness after an early breakfast. You will traverse the Edward rift full to the brim with beautiful savannas. The safari guide will explore all secret corners and discover the hidden the herbivores are grazing in. Predating carnivores are always very close and on a lucky day travelers encounter prides of lions resting up the beautiful fig trees. You will then begin travel to Mweya peninsular and arrive just in time for lunch. The 2 hour afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel gives travelers an exciting activity to relax, refresh and get full dose of safari into Uganda with very rare encounters of mammals and other wildlife species trekking onto the Kazinga channel to cool off the heat of the day. Your encounter with herds of mammals on your travel to your hotel is an evening game viewing safari.
Day 4: Game drive, travel to Kampala Your gorilla trekking and gameviewing safari into Uganda is getting extremely exciting but unfortunately close to the end. The safari guide meets you up from your hotel lobby and you set out on a morning game viewing safari and exploration into the wilderness. The safari guide will explore and traverse the Kasenyi circuit which is every traveler’s dream destination. Large herds of mammals are keenly grazing before the irritating heat of the day sets in. Different carnivores are always on hunt and you may witness a successful mammal hunting encounter. You will then embark on travel to Kampala traveling in the foothills of the Ruwenzoris onto Fort Portal. You will arrive in Kampala in the afternoon and your safari guide will escort you to your address or the Entebbe International Airport in time for you outbound flight.
