Safari highlights
4 Days bwindi and lake mburo park safari. The safari starts in the Lake Victoria basin with lush vegetation, traverses Ankole plateaus with woodland and grassland vegetation onto the highlands of Kigezi reduced to bare ground due to high population pressure and human settlement. The travelers will spend one night in this unique Kigezi highland environment and trek Mountain gorillas in their natural wild settings; the Bwindi rainforests. Lake Mburo is an open woodland / grassland wilderness and a perfect rendez vous to relax, refresh and rejuvinate the energies after the tiring gorilla trekking expedition. The travelers on safari will explore the aquatic wildlife species on an exciting boat cruise, wander into the woodlands and discover the feeding zones of large mammal species. The safari is ideal for travelers with an urge to trek gorillas and explore open wilderness in a limited amount of time.

Day 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your guide on tour of Uganda will meet you up very early morning. Brief interaction and you set out for you gorilla trekking safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have a brief coffee break at equator line crossing point at Kayabwe and shortly embark on a longer leg of your day travel. You will have lunch break in or close to Kabale town surrounded by beautiful Kigezi highlands from all corners. You will check into your hotel on the edges of the Bwindi rainforests shortly before sunset.
Day 2: Trek gorillas, travel to Lake Mburo National Park
Mountain gorilla trekking expedition is an exciting activity that gets travelers into close encounters with nature and wildlife more than any other Uganda tour activity. Your safari guide will escort to gorilla trekking assembly point to meet with the gorilla trekking members and help with gorilla trekking procedures. The ranger escorts lead you into the wilderness in the rainforest. It is a very unique and strange setting in all corners. You will wander and traverse the rainforest following all the leads of gorillas presence. Shortly the rangers will discover and lead you to the feeding areas for a one hour interaction with the gorillas. You will reunite with your safari guide and embark on travel to Lake Mburo retreating towards Kampala. You will check into your safari camp at sunset, freshen up, relax and enjoy the natural luxuries of safari into Uganda.
Day 3: Game drive, boat cruise
Relax, enjoy your morning sleep and shake off the Mountain gorilla trekking fatigue. You will set out for the morning game drive and explore the woodlands on the look out for exciting sightings. Large mammal species are grazing so close to the tracks and on any day; buffalos, elands, giraffes, hippos, waterbucks, topis, Impalas, zebras and many other mammals are encountered mingling peacefully for grazing space. The afternoon 2-hour boat cruise explores Lake Mburo and her aquatic wildlife species; beautiful water birds, hippos, crocodiles, sitatungas, moniitor lizards and large mammals are encountered watering in the shores of the lake. You will do an exciting sunset game viewing drive en route to your hotel.
Day 4: Game drive, travel to Kampala
The activities of the day are determined by your departure flight schedule. Otherwise, you set out for the morning game viewing drive after breakfast and proceed onto Kampala with a brief stop at the equator line crossing point to purchase Uganda safari souvenir items and get another opportunity for photos. You will arrive in Kampala in the afternoon and your safari guide will escort you to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
