Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Fly from Entebbe airport and transfer to Kihihi airstrip

On your arrival at Entebbe international airport on the first day of your 4 Days Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth Flying Safari, you will connect for your domestic flight with Aero link Uganda to Kihihi airstrip. There are various scheduled flights to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which depart at 7:00am, 10:15am and 12:00. Upon arrival at Kihihi airstrip you will be picked by our driver guide and then transfer by road to your booked lodge for refreshment and lunch.

After lunch you will spend the rest of the day at leisure or go for an optional cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the batwa people, learn about the amazing lifestyle, way of living and so on. Have dinner and overnight stay at Bakiga lodge-budget or Ruhija gorilla mist camp-midrange

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park and transfer to Ishasha sector

After an early breakfast, you will carry packed lunch from the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to drive you to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will start a walk through different forest trails looking for the gorilla family you’re assigned too. While trekking, you will be able to view other primates, animals, birds and various tree species among others. The trekking experience can last between 30minutes and 6 hours, depending on where were last seen the previous day. Once the mountain gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat while observing their habits, lifestyle, behaviors, watch them feed, play, breastfeed, groom young ones, take photos and record videos to show people back home after the safari.

After an amazing encounter with the mountain gorillas you will trek back to the starting point where you will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and later meet up with your driver guide to drive to Ishasha sector which is found in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Depending on your arrival time, you will go for an evening game drive where you will be able to view the rarely tree climbing lions if you are lucky. Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and afternoon boat cruise

After an early breakfast on the third day of the safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to head out for a short morning game drive in Ishasha area where after you will transfer to Kasenyi area in the northern part of Queen Elizabeth national park. Upon arrival, you will connect to your booked lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for an impressive boat cruise on Kazinga channel a water channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. During the scheduled boat cruise which begins at 2:00pm, you will be able to enjoy panoramic views of the beautiful scenery, landscape, view animals such as elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, waterbucks at a close range drinking water along the banks, watch large concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, aquatic birds among other. After the boat cruise which lasts about 2 hours, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Elephant hab lodge-midrange or Queen Elizabeth Bush lodge-budget.

Day 4: Morning game drive and departure flight to Entebbe

After an early breakfast on the last day of the safari, you will meet up with your driver guide to embark for an early morning game drive in Kasenyi plains. During morning game drive expect to watch diversity of animal’s species in that short time and some of animals to see include; elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, warthogs, view predators like lions and leopards if you are lucky, variety of bird species among others.

After a great game encounter, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch where after you will check out and meet up with your driver guide to drive to Mweya/Kasese airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe international airport at 14:20pm.
