DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1 of 4 days Bwindi gorilla tour & Lake Mburo wildlife safari: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park – boat cruise & evening game drive / nature walks
You will be picked up from your lodge either in Kampala or Entebbe on day 1 of your safari and be driven to Lake Mburo National park which is roughly 4-5 hours’ drive from Kampala /Entebbe with a stopover at the Equator for some beautiful photographs and experiments. Proceed with your journey and expect to arrive at Lake Mburo national park in lunch hours, check in at your booked lodge for lunch and later on head for an afternoon boat cruise on one of the lakes within Lake Mburo national park for possibility to spot some wildlife species including Zebras which are very common in Lake Mburo national park, Hippopotamus, antelopes, buffaloes, and the long horned Ankole cattle that normally graze amidst other herbivores among others. You will also spot some species of birds including Kingfishers, Fish eagles, Cormorants etc. After boat cruise, you may opt for an evening game drive or enjoy an evening nature walk or even a horseback ride to watch the beautiful park amidst other wildlife then return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2 of 4 days Bwindi gorilla tour & Lake Mburo wildlife safari: Morning game drive & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
After breakfast on day 2 of 4 days Bwindi gorilla tour & Lake Mburo wildlife safari, spend a few hours driving with in the park to visit other places that were not visited the previous day. After the break game drive, return to the lodge, freshen up and check out of the lodge to embark on the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park which will take you about 7-8 hours to Kisoro district. Lunch will be enroute and proceed your journey via kigezi, the land of hills, and proceed to the home of endangered mountain gorillas, Bwindi Impenetrable national park in Kisoro. Upon arrival, check in for dinner and have an overnight served.

Day 3 of 4 days Bwindi gorilla tour & Lake Mburo wildlife safari: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable national park
On day 3 of 4 days Bwindi gorilla tour & Lake Mburo wildlife safari, you need to wake up early for breakfast, prepare your back pack fill it with snacks, pack enough bottled drinking water and be transferred for a briefing about mountain gorilla trekking including the dos and don’ts, the expectations while in the jungle among others . Later on thrill via different trails with in the impenetrable forest amidst armed rangers for protection and start the fascinating yet tiresome adventure to search for the habituated mountain gorillas. If you are lucky, you will spot the mountain gorillas after a few hours trek. But in most cases these gorillas tend to move really high and you will require to hike up the mountain via muddy and slippery trails until you land on them. After spotting them, you will enjoy a full hour of close interaction then return to the headquarters for a certificate of trekking, drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 of 4 days Bwindi gorilla tour & Lake Mburo wildlife safari: Return to Kampala for departures.
After breakfast on day 4 of 4 days Bwindi gorilla tour & Lake Mburo wildlife safari, check out of your lodge and start your journey via kigezi hills while sighting different vegetation covers. Lunch will be in Mbarara at Igongo cultural center. Once in Kampala you will be dropped at either your preferred hotel in case you have an overnight within Kampala or direct to Entebbe International airport for departures.
