4 Days Rwanda gorilla and golden monkey
This 4 days Rwanda gorilla and golden monkey tour covers two aspects of Rwanda primates safari i.e gorilla trekking and golden monkey trekking both in volcanoes national parks Rwanda.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL KIGALI
Our staff will be on wait to pick you up on arrival for your tour into Rwanda. He will drive to your hotel and briefly introduce you to wonderful experiences of safaris in Rwanda.
DAY 2: KIGALI CITY TOUR, TRAVEL TO MUSANZE
You will tour pronounced structures in Kigali city after breakfast breakfast. Previous events in Rwanda are displayed in several spots in Kigali city; Ntarama Genocide Memorial, Ntarama Church, local craft centre and others that are of great significance to travlers on tour of Rwanda. You will set out and travel to the countryside for your gorilla trekking in Rwanda. You will traverse steep highlands and wander into beautiful crop estates en route to your hotel in Musanze.
DAY 3: GORILLA TREKKING, VISIT GORILLA GUARDIAN’S VILLAGE
You will be up at first light and make final preparations to travel to gorilla trekking start off point. Ranger escorts will lead you into the dark forests, descending steep valleys trailing in the footpaths of feeding gorillas. You will wander in the forests and explore the wilderness in search of feeding corners for the family of gorillas your team is trekking. The interaction with gorillas, once sighted, is brief and minimized to one hour. The team will then descend out of the rainforest to reunite with the safari guide. You will visit the gorilla guardians’ village in the afternoon and get wonderful feelings of safari into Rwanda. Some of the village members are reformed poachers who now embrace gorilla protection and entire wildlife conservation efforts.
DAY 4: GOLDEN MONKEY TRACKING, DEPARTURE
Golden monkeys are a beautiful species of primates that are restricted to the Virunga corridor that extends into DR Congo and Uganda. The golden monkeys face similar challenges as gorillas and are equally threatened. You will track them with ranger escorts in their most preferred corners feeding on bamboo shoots. Shortly, you will travel back to Kigali city bearing in mind your departure flight schedule. Your safari guide will escort you to Kigali International Airport in time for your departure flight.
