4 Days Uganda Murchison Falls Wildlife Safaris :The 4 Days Murchison Falls Safari is a short safari tour package takes you to Uganda’s oldest national park for game drives, chimpanzee tracking, a visit to the top of the mighty waterfalls and the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest wildlife conservation area that estimates 3,893 square Kilometer. Murchison Falls National park lies 305 kilometers away from Kampala city by road but can also be reached using a chartered flight from Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi. The park is comprised of savanna grasslands, woodlands and Riverine forest which are home to over 76 mammal species and 451 recorded species. Murchison Falls Conservation Area also includes Karuma and Bugungu wildlife reserves. Murchison Falls ranks as the world’s most powerful waterfalls where the park derives its name. Note, Murchison falls is a major feature in the park and was formed when the Nile passes through a narrow gorge before forming several rapids that leads to a final thunderous fall. The river continues flowing calmly till it accessed Lake Albert and it stretch between the falls leading towards lake Albert is amazing for providing one of East Africa’s remarkable wildlife spectacles. Boat cruise is one of the most done activity here by the tourists on visit to the park which can be done along Nile River with great sight of animal species like crocodiles, elephants, hippos, buffaloes and giraffes drinking by the river bank. Visitors on their visit here can also spot the animals while on a game drive on land or you can enjoy wildlife adventure while using hot air balloons. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pickup and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Depending on your point of location, our professional driver guide will pick you up welcomes you and brief you about the 4 Days Uganda Murchison Falls Wildlife Safaris. You will start your 4 to 5 hours’ journey to Murchison falls. While driving to north western region of Uganda, you will enjoy the drive through the beautiful country side past the famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi town with a stopover for lunch at Masindi Hotel then after continue a direct drive to Murchison falls to the top of the falls where you will view the thunderous waterfalls and world’s most powerful falls. After, you will drive to your booked lodge. Check in your lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive in Murchison Falls National Park
Wake up early and have breakfast, after the driver and ranger will pick you up and drives you to the park for game drive. Morning game drive offers a great spot with the predators and early risers such as herds of buffaloes, baboons, elephants, hyenas, jackals, giraffe, velvet monkeys, lions, antelopes, warthogs among others. You will also view different bird species during the game drive. After, you will drive back to your lodge to rest and have lunch.
Later on, you will go for a boat cruise at the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls cruising near large hippo pods, bathing buffaloes, crocodiles and several aquatic birds on the north bank as you hike to the top of the falls where you will have gain view of its beauty. Dinner and an Overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking Budongo Forest
Wake up have breakfast and after your driver guide will drive you to the head offices for briefing about rules of chimp trekking. You will be divided into a group of 6 people and be led by an experience ranger guide who will take you through the tracking. Remember to carry enough bottled water and snacks just in case the tracking takes long. Once you allocate the chimpanzees you will be given a maximum of 1 hour with them to enjoy the most stunning experience. Budongo forest offers a great opportunity to sight see different noble bird species in the forest.
Then after, you will go for the boat ride to the Nile Lake Albert where you will view different birdlife for example like Goliath Heron, rare shoe bill stock, Grey crowned crane many more. Check in your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Departure to Kampala
You will wake up have breakfast as you get ready to travel back to Kampala. You will check out of the lodge and drive back with branch off in Nakitoma in Nakasongola for a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. From Murchison Falls National Park you will spend about 2 hours before you continue your journey to Kampala or to be dropped off to the Entebbe International Airport.
