Day 1: Arrival, Transfer to Kigali and then connect to Virunga National park

Day 2: Virunga Gorilla trekking
- Gorilla trekking in Virunga national park: On day 2 of 4 days Virunga and Nyiragongo Hike, you are expected to wake up early in the morning, take your breakfast, pack your meal for lunch which is provided at the lodge and meet the driver to transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing about everything concerning mountain gorillas and then you will be allocated a particular gorilla family, and off to the starting point you drive amidst armed rangers and the guide. Remember to hire a porter for assistance in carrying the backpack and offering a hand during difficult trails. Day 3: Nyiragongo Hike (Ascend)
- Ascend Mount Nyiragongo: On day 3 of 4 days Virunga and Nyiragongo Hike, you will wake up at around 7:00 am in the morning take your breakfast and have a ride to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will be driving to Kibati where the hike to Mount Nyiragongo starts and alongside armed rangers and local guides, you will start ascending mount Nyiragongo at exactly 10:00 am. During the hike, you will be in a position to see different mammals and have a scenic view of the park and other volcanic mountains close to Nyiragongo with in Virunga massif. After summiting the top of mount Nyiragongo at an elevation of 4,370m, you will be rewarded with an overnight stay to view the Lava Lake as it glows at night.
