Day 1 of 5 days Rwanda Congo safari tour: Transfer from Kigali to Nyungwe forest national park

Explore Lake Kivu: On day 3 of 5 days Rwanda Congo safari tour in Nyungwe forest national park & Virunga national park, you will check out of the lodge and meet your safari driver for yet a transfer from Nyungwe forest national park to Gisenyi where you will spend your half day on a Lake Kivu exploration. Day 4 of 5 days Rwanda Congo safari tour: Hike Nyiragongo (Ascend) in Virunga national park

Nyiragongo hiking safari (Ascend): After breakfast at your lodge in Gisenyi on day 4 of your tour in Nyungwe forest national park & Virunga national park, pack some snacks and enough drinking water then check out of the lodge as early as 5:00am and meet your driver for a transfer to Rwanda Congo border at Grand barrier border where you will clear with the Virunga park officials then be transferred amidst tight security to Kibati Ranger post for a hike to the top of Mount Nyiragongo. A hike to summit Nyiragongo starts as early as 10:30 am thus you are expected to be at the starting point in time since all hikers set off at once amidst security of armed rangers. You will spend an overnight at the summit view a glowing Crater Lake as the rain drops into the lake.

Day 5 of your tour: Descend Nyiragongo & departures

Nyiragongo Hike (Descend): Ensure that you are done with your breakfast as early as 6:00am on day 5 of 5 days Rwanda Congo safari tour, then meet other Nyiragongo hike to start descending Nyiragongo. You will slope back to Kibati ranger post where you started your hike from. At this point, you will be returned to Rwanda Congo border to meet your safari driver for drive back to Kigali.
