This safari will start from Kigali Rwanda to volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri for gorilla trekking then head to Gisenyi for a boat cruise on Lake Kivu, visit the genocide memorial sites, visit markets and many more. Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri
- Arrival at Kigali international airport: On day 1 of 5 days Rwanda gorillas and Lake Kivu safari, you will arrive at Kigali international airport where you will be picked up by our company representative and transfer you to the hotel for a late lunch.
- Transfer to Volcanoes national park: you will, later on, be transferred to Ruhengeri where volcanoes national park is situated. Upon arrival at the park, you will proceed to check-in at your lodge, have an even relaxation, enjoy your dinner, and have an overnight sleep.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in volcanoes national park
- Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park: On day 2 of 5 days Rwanda gorillas and Lake Kivu safari, you will have a heavy breakfast, pack a lunch box and a water bottle before transferring to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting the fascinating adventure of searching for the habituated mountain gorillas in the wild. The maximum time allowed in the presence of gorillas is just an hour and later on return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Gisenyi and boat cruise on Lake Kivu
- Transfer to Gisenyi Lake Kivu: On the third day of 5 days Lake Kivu and Rwanda gorillas safari, after breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet with your driver to be transferred to Gisenyi. You will enjoy your lunch at the lodge in Gisenyi
- Lunch cruise on Lake Kivu: you will then have an afternoon launch cruise while witnessing the beauty that lies alongside this lake. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and have an overnight sleep.

Day 4: Full day in Gisenyi
- Full day exploration of Gisenyi city: On day 4 of 5 days Rwanda gorillas and Lake Kivu safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast in Gisenyi and then take part in different activities such as visiting the genocide memorial sites, visiting the markets, and many more within Gisenyi. At the end of the day, you will return to your lodge for dinner and take rest.

Day 5: Return to Kigali for departures
- Return to Kigali for departures: this is the last day of your 5 days Rwanda gorillas and Lake Kivu safari. On this last day, you will have breakfast at the shores of Lake Kivu, then check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kigali with a stopover at the museum. Have an enroute lunch and later on be transferred to the airport for departures.
