This 6 Days Uganda Murchison and Kibale Primate Safari takes two safari destinations to engage in both wildlife and primate experiences.
This trip is perfect for tourists who are lovers of wildlife and primates. Destinations to visit Murchison Falls National Park and Kibale National Park. The trip starts and ends in Kampala or Entebbe.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to a hotel in Entebbe
On day 1 of the 6 Days Uganda Murchison and Kibale Primate Safari, depending on your arrival time at Entebbe International Airport on the first day of the safari, you will be welcomed by our company safari driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then travel to a hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Rhino trekking – Murchison Falls National Park – top of the falls
Have an early morning breakfast served at the Hotel after your breakfast and connect to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking experience. The journey takes 2-3 hours’ drive from Murchison Falls National Park. After trekking, connect to Murchison Falls National Park. You will enter through the Kichumbanyobo gate and then continue a drive to the top of the falls before you check into your booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Game drive and launch cruise – Murchison Falls
Early morning breakfast and then go for a game drive adventure where you will spot vast animal species such as elephants, giraffes, lions, and Uganda kobs among others. In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise on the park’s main tourist attractions the unique Murchison Falls as well as the River Nile with its streaming hippos and ranges of Nile crocodiles along the sandbanks, as well as various numbers of different species getting down to drink & bathe. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day 4: Nile Delta boat cruise and evening game drive
After an early breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to go for an amazing Nile delta boat cruise which starts from the Parra jetty landing site and stretches to the shores of Lake Albert. While on the Nile Delta boat cruise, you will be able to enjoy impressive views of Murchison Falls, and large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in the water. Other animals to see include Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks among others along the shores, water birds, view fishermen who will be catching fish on Lake Albert many others. After the Nile delta boat cruise, you will meet up with your driver guide and drive back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for an evening game drive where you will be able to view some of the animals that you might have missed on the morning game drive. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, travel to Kibale National Park. The journey to Kibale National Park takes 6-7 hours’ drive with en-route lunch in Fort Portal town and visit Amabere caves and waterfalls as well as a visit the crater lakes before you connect to your booked lodge. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk and community tour
After early morning breakfast go for briefing and after, you will be escorted by the park ranger in search for chimps. The tracking can last between 2 to 5 hours depending on their location.
Once they are found, an hour is given to you to enjoy their amazing behaviors, habits, feeding, play, groom their young ones. After hiking back to the starting point meet your driver guide and transfer back to Kampala with en-route lunch. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe or at Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
Kibale Forest National Park is one of the major stopping safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale sits on land that covers 795 km2 and contains one of the most beautiful landscapes with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This place harbors a good number of primates with over 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees.
