The 6 Days Volcanoes National Park and Kahuzi Biega Safari lead you to two great places that inhabit different species of gorillas that is; Mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park and Eastern lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biega National Park. You will enjoy two in one great gorilla trekking experience in two different places.
Day 1: Pick up in Kigali and transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Ibyi’wacu Village Tour (About 3 hours’ drive).
On day 1 of the 6 Days Volcanoes National Park and Kahuzi Biega Safari, our representative will meet you at Kigali International Airport or from a hotel in Kigali and drive to the Kigali city tour where you will visit the local market and the Kigali Genocide Memorial site. Have lunch and then embark on Volcanoes National Park for a cultural tour to Ibyi’wacu Village which lies near the national park. Get to watch amazing traditional dance and singing performances from the local store dance troupe. After, drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Hotel Muhabura (Budget)/ Da Vinci Lodge (Midrange)

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Volcanoes National Park Rwanda.
On day 2 of the 6 Days Volcanoes National Park and Kahuzi Biega Safari, have an early morning breakfast, and drive to the meeting center for briefing about gorilla trekking rules. Thereafter, you will head into the cold and misty forested slopes of Virunga National Park for your Gorilla trek.
The trekking experience can take 30 minutes to 7 hours, depending on the movement of the Gorillas. On finding them, you will be allowed 1 hour to spend with them, enjoy amazing photography, and then hike back to meet your driver guide.
Meet your driver/guide and drive back to the lodge. If you feel strong, you may opt for a visit to Karisoke Center which was formerly a site for Research by the late Dian Fossey. Take a tour of the research center and the Dian Fossey museum as you get to discover more about her works and contribution to the habituation of mountain gorillas in the Virunga Area. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Muhabura (Budget)/ Da Vinci Lodge (Midrange)

Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe. ( estimates 6-7 Hours’ drive)
On day 3 of the 6 Days Volcanoes National Park and Kahuzi Biega Safari, have morning breakfast served early and then transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park with lunch en route. Dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura Visitor Center (Budget)/ Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel (Mid-range)

Day 4: Cross to Bukavu- Congo
On day 4 of the 6 Days Volcanoes National Park and Kahuzi Biega Safari, wake up at leisure and have breakfast at your hotel. Then check out of the hotel and meet up with your driver guide. Head on a 45-minute drive to the border at Cyangugu where you will check in with the immigration office and then meet our Congo representative on the Congo border. After a brief meeting and greet session, you will drive to Bukavu town where you can do an optional city tour before driving to your hotel to check in and have lunch. After lunch, you will spend the rest of your evening relaxing at the hotel. You can opt to tour Lwiro Sanctuary where you will visit orphaned chimps that have been rescued from poachers.

Day 5: Lowland Gorilla Trekking in Kahuzi Biega National Park
On day 5 of the 6 Days Volcanoes National Park and Kahuzi Biega Safari, wake up enjoy a delicious breakfast, then head for the memorable adventure of tracking the lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biega National Park. Tacking lowland Gorillas is unforgettable, lowland Gorillas differ from mountain gorillas lowland gorillas are bigger in size compared to mountain gorillas. The tracking experience takes 1-6 hours to allocate them. The lowland Gorillas stay in bigger families as compared to mountain gorillas. Later in the afternoon drive back to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Panorama Hotel

Day 6: Transfer back to Kigali (Approximately 7-8 hours’ drive)
After having relaxed breakfast followed by check out of the lodge and be transferred back to Kigali to be dropped off at your hotel or any place advised. End of the Safari.
