DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival and Kampala city tour

• Kampala city tour: on day one of 8 days Uganda safari, you will be picked from the airport and transferred to a hotel in Kampala for lunch, Kampala city tour and overnight
• Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park 

• Transfer to Bwindi: day 2 of 8 days Uganda safari is reserved for a long driver from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park best known as a place to find more than a half of the still remaining mountain gorillas in the world. You will have a stopover at the Equator in biharwe, have some photographs and then have a nest stop for lunch break in Mbarara at Igongo cultural center. And finally have a ride through the hills and valleys up to Bwindi impenetrable national park for check in dinner, and have an overnight stay.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi 

• Gorilla trekking: day 3 of 8 days Uganda safari, you will have an early morning breakfast, then be driven for a meeting and gorilla trekking briefing. Once in the jungle, only one hour is allowed for you to take photographs, of endangered mountain gorillas and ask any possible information you need to know about mountain gorillas. After gorilla trekking, return to the lodge for evening relaxation, dinner and overnight. However, you may opt for any evening activity in case you need one, the guide will be in position to organize one for you.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park 

• Tree climbing lions in queen: on day 4 of 8 days Uganda safari, you will wake up on a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park via Ishasha sector to watch tree climbing lions as they overlook Uganda Kob. Then proceed to check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

• Morning game drive: you will wake up early for the breakfast on day 5 out of 8 days Uganda safaris then have a morning drive in kasenyi plains in  Queen Elizabeth National Park amidst wildlife species Elephants, Lions, buffalos, Uganda kob and many more. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch break.
• Afternoon boat cruise: Once you are done with lunch, you will be driven to Kazinga channel for an afternoon boat cruise while watching bathing hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes among others. After the boat cruise, you may have an evening game drive as you return to the lodge for dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale forest national park

• Transfer to Kibale forest national park: on day 6 of 8 days Uganda safari, you will wake up on relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet your driver to transfer to Kibale forest national park the best location to encounter 13 species of primates alongside other mammals and bird species among others.
• Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi guided nature walk

• Chimpanzee trekking: on the second last day of 8 days Uganda safari, you are advised to wake up very early in the morning, enjoy your breakfast and have a transfer to park  head offices in Kibale for chimpanzee trekking briefing then move to the forest and search for the chimpanzees that are already habituated and used to humans. Spend an hour with them and later return to the lodge for lunch.

• Bigodi wetland nature walk: After enjoying your meal, you will have to move into Bigodi wetland for a guided nature walk. During the nature walk, you will spot lots of wildlife species including primates, mammals, birds and different plant species. You will then return to the lodge, enjoy your dinner and have an overnight.

Day 8: Return to Kampala for departures

• Return to Kampala: On the last day of your 8 days Uganda safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, check out of the lodge and meet your driver to embark on the journey to Kampala. You will have an enroute lunch along the way. Upon arrival in Kampala, have a city tour and then proceed to Entebbe International airport for late evening departures.
• Note: on this day, you may have a rhino trek while on the way back to Kampala
