Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our safari driver-guide and then transferred to Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda, home to a huge number of endangered mountain gorillas, among other primate species and birdlife. Along the way, you will enjoy scenic views of the Rwandan countryside. Arrive, check into your lodge near the park. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Enjoy an early morning breakfast served at the lodge. Then, be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking rules and expectations. You will meet the park rangers to allocate you to your assigned gorilla family, and the trek takes 2 to 7 hours, depending on the gorilla movements while looking for food.

Once you find them, you will be allowed to spend an hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat. After- optional, drive back to the lodge and relax, or choose to go for a cultural tour to the Iby’iwacu cultural village. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi

After morning breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for a short briefing. Then, you will be led by a skilled ranger to look for these active primates. Finding the troop of golden monkeys, follow them as they swing on different tree branches, feed on fruits, as well as pictures. After, golden monkey tracking. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda via border crossing. Arrive, check into your lodge near Bwindi. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early delicious breakfast, be transferred to the meeting Centre for the briefing. Thereafter, an expert park ranger will lead you through forest trails in search of the gorilla family assigned for you. Through finding them, spend one hour watching their behavior, habits, play, and grooming themselves, as well as enjoying photography. After an amazing experience, trek back to the starting point to be rewarded with your gorilla trekking certificate for participation. Then, connect to your lodge for relaxation. Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, after a relaxed breakfast in Bwindi. On arriving, do a game drive en route while expecting to see animals like elephants, lions, and buffalo. Connect at the lodge, check in for rest, dinner, and an overnight.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most popular safari destinations, home to over 95 mammals and more than 600 bird species, among others. The park is located in the south-western Uganda region, approximately a 5 to 6-hour drive from Kampala and 1:30 hours from Bwindi National Park.

Day 6: Morning Game drive and Boat cruise trip

Have a morning game drive in Kasenyi plains, after your morning breakfast. It’s the best time to see the most active animals. After, drive back to the lodge to enjoy a hot lunch.

Later, in the afternoon, head for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel – known for its abundant wildlife. Search for hippos, crocodiles, elephants and various bird species. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Lake Mburo

After morning breakfast, go for a chimp trekking briefing in Kyambura Gorge or Kalinzu Forest. Later, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park with a picnic lunch. Arrive at the park on the en-route evening game drive. Connect to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 8: Guided Nature Walk /Departure

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, go for a morning nature walk, or horseback riding in Lake Mburo, where you will get close to the animals. After, transfer back to Kigali, Rwanda or Kampala, Uganda, for departure.
