The 8 Days Uganda Classic Safari leads you to Uganda’s sounding safari destination that is a visit to Murchison Falls National Park for game drive and boat cruise as well as a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This trip also takes you to encounter the world’s unique gentle gaints ‘’ the mountain gorillas’’ which are habitat of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda. The trip starts and ends in Kampala /Entebbe.
Day 1: Airport pick up – Hotel
On your first day, arrive at Entebbe International airport, meet your driver and connect to your booked hotel. Overnight stay at Speke Resort Munyonyo for luxury /Cassia Lodge for mid-range /Forest Cottages for budget
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls – Rhino tracking and top of the falls visit
After early breakfast, meet your safari driver and drive to Murchison falls national park, which is about 6-7 hours’ drive with en-route stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary 2-3 hours’ drive for a Rhino tracking experience. After the experience you will have lunch then connect to Murchison falls national park entering through the Kichumbanyobo gate from Masindi town.
Arrive in the park in the evening and connect to your lodge to relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Tilenga Safari Lodge for budget /Pakuba Safari lodge for mid-range /Nile Safari Lodge for luxury on a full board basis
Day 3: Morning Game drive and launch cruise
Wake up have relaxed morning breakfast and after go for a morning game drive at the delta where you may view various animal species such as elephants, giraffes, lions, Uganda kobs many more.
After game drive ,drive back to the lodge and have lunch then at 2 pm, you set off for a launch cruise at the bottom of the Murchison Falls along River Nile, enjoy streaming watching of hippo and serried ranges of crocodile along the sandbanks, as well as large numbers of different species getting down to drink and bathe. After the boat cruise at the bottom of the falls, meet your driver to head back to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at lodge as the above
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Wake up have breakfast, check-out of the lodge and head on your 8-9 hours’ drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with en-route lunch and stopovers to refresh. Upon arrival late afternoon, check-in at your booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight at Kazinga Wilderness Camp for budget /Elephant Hub Lodge for mid-range /Elephant Plains lodge for luxury
Day 5: Lion tracking/Morning game drive and Boat cruise
After breakfast early morning, head for a lion tracking experience where you will witness a great view of huge number of lions, enjoy an en-route game drive at the Kisenyi area where you will adventure a good number of wildlife including Elephants, Buffaloes, and all species of antelopes.
After enjoying your lunch at the lodge, followed by boat trip along the Kazinga channel for yet another wildlife/bird-watching experience as you cruise on lake Edward/George. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, drive out of the park and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park (home of world’s half remaining endangered Mountain Gorillas). Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Rest Camp for budget /Buhoma Haven Lodge for mid-range /Mahogany Springs Lodge for luxury
Day 7: Gorilla trekking experience.
Wake up early, have breakfast, and drive to the forest with your packed food and water. The briefing from the park warden about the gorillas which starts at 8 am where your will be guided on highlights about the way of life of the gorillas. The hike can take anything from 2-8 hours. Once you locate the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away. Return to the lodge to unwind and dinner and overnight stay as above.
Day 8: Return to Kampala/Entebbe (8-9 hours’ drive) – Departure
After breakfast at the lodge, drive back to Kampala/Entebbe with en-route lunch in Mbarara town and the Equator. Arrive in Kampala/Entebbe late afternoon and either be dropped off at a hotel you advise or at Entebbe Airport for your departure flight.
End of tour.
NOTE: There is a flight option from Bwindi to Entebbe International Airport taking 2 hours at an extra cost.
