Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls national park
Drive to Murchison falls national park: Start your adventure on day 1 of 8 days Uganda Gorilla trekking safari and wildlife with a pick up from your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe and be driven for about 5-6 hours to Murchison falls national park with an enroute stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for White Rhino trekking in their natural habitats. Proceed to Masindi for an enroute lunch before entering the park. While in the park, you will be rewarded with a welcome game drive on your way to the lodge. Upon arrival at your lodge, check in for dinner and have a night rest.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise in Murchison falls national park
Game drive and boat cruise: After breakfast on day 2 of 8 days Uganda Gorilla trekking safari and wildlife, meet your safari driver and embark on an early morning game drive in the wilderness of Murchison falls national park. Murchison falls national park is the largest park in Uganda the pearl of Africa and yet the most visited Savanna Park due to existence of the world’s most powerful waterfalls. During the early morning game drive, you will spot several park dwellers including elephants, Buffaloes, giraffes, lions, Uganda kob, hartebeests, several bird life and many more. After game drive, head to the lodge for lunch and then embark on an afternoon boat ride upstream to the base of the waterfalls with an opportunity of viewing the waterfall at a distance. After the boat ride, some hikers set off on a 45 minutes ascension to the top of waterfalls. This hike is tough and requires physical fitness levels. Return to your lodge in time for dinner and overnight sleep.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park: have your breakfast served in time on day 3 of 8 days Uganda Gorilla trekking safari and wildlife then check out and embark on a drive to Queen Elizabeth national park one of the best savanna park in uganda and yet a home to both tree climbing lions and the kazinga channel that connect Lake Edward to Lake George. Lunch will be enjoyed enroute in Fort or kasese and upon park arrival, proceed to check in your lodge for a relaxed dinner and overnight sleep.
Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park
Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise: After enjoying an early breakfast on day 4 of 8 days Uganda safari, meet your safari driver and be driven to kasenyi plains of the park where you will enjoy a thrilling game drive to spot Elephants, Uganda kob, lions and many more that will be seen while in the car. After game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and embark on an afternoon boat cruise along the kazinga channel where you will enjoy a view of a huge school of Hippos, crocodiles and many more. Return to your lodge for dinner and have an overnight sleep.
Day 5: Ishasha game drive and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
Game drive in Ishasha and transfer to Bwindi: After breakfast on day 5 of 8 days Uganda Gorilla trekking safari and wildlife, check out of the lodge with your packed lunch box and be driven to Ishasha sector of the park for another game drive in search of tree climbing lions in the wilderness of Ishasha sector where you will spot other wildlife species that thrill in this part of the park. After game drive, enjoy picnic lunch and exit the park and be driven direct to Bwindi impenetrable national park a home to the largest population of the endangered mountain gorillas. Once you arrive at the park, proceed to check in the lodge for dinner and have an overnight sleep.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi: Day 6 of 8 days Uganda Gorilla trekking safari and wildlife is such an amazing day of your life thus arise from your bed as early as possible and be transferred to the trail head for a pre gorilla trekking briefing where you will be advised of the dos and don’ts during gorilla trekking safaris. After briefing, you will be led into the forest to search for the gorillas that have been habituated and available for trekking at any given period of time. The trek takes about 2-7 hours but upon finding gorillas, you will spend only 1 hour with gorillas taking photographs and interacting with gorillas after which you will exit the forest and head back to the lodge for a relaxed dinner and overnight sleep.
Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Drive to Lake Mburo national park: Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge on day 7 of 8 days Uganda safari then check out of the lodge and embark on a 4-5 hours’ drive from Bwindi impenetrable national park to Lake Mburo National park which is the smallest park in uganda with lots of mid blowing adventures. Lunch will be enjoyed in Mbarara city along the way and proceed with your journey to the park to enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on one of the lakes in the park. After boat cruise, enjoy an evening game drive to see Zebra and other mammals in the park. Head to your lodge for dinner and have an overnight rest.
Day 8: Drive to Entebbe for departures
Walking safari/ game drive and departures: After breakfast enjoy an early game drive/ walking safari to open up day 8 of 8 days Uganda Gorilla trekking safari and wildlife after which you will return to the lodge, freshen up and check out for a drive to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for photo taking and equator experiments. Proceed your journey to Kampala for departures.
