Buhoma Community Haven Lodge; This is a mid-range safari lodge which is under the Buhoma Community Rest Camp limited, located in a popular Uganda safari Accommodation –Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park a destination renown of hosting half the remaining population of endangered mountain gorillas, visiting the Batwa people who used to stay with mountain gorillas in forest among others. The lodge offers spectacular views of the rain forest from its terraces.
Furthermore, Buhoma community haven lodge is located close to the point where Gorilla trekking experience begins.
Currently, the lodge offers 8 comfortable designed with Twin /Double Cottages and one family cottages, all are self-contained ‘’en-suite and furnished in simple elegance with local materials.
More so, the lodge is a community owned and all the profit earned are ploughed back in the community so they are determined to make it work. You choosing to sleep at Haven Lodge just know you will be contributing to the devepment of our community, they serve 4 course meals blending western and African cuisine, prepared by professional chefs using locally grown products.

Bandas at Buhoma Community; They have Buhoma Community out rest camp that gives outdoor enthusiasts a taste of safari style and they are nice base camp for gorilla trekking and a good place to watch endemic bird species that inhabit the region. Bird watching
This is one of the most done activity while staying at the Buhoma Community haven lodge , you can even do birding while sited right from your veranda or guided nature walk around Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where you can be able to spot beautiful bird species such as Handsome francolin ,Black-faced rufous warbler ,Black bee- eater ,African broadbill ,Olive-breasted greenbul ,Purple-breasted sunbird ,Mountain masked apalis ,Yellow-streaked greenbul ,Western green tinker bird ,Regal sunbird ,Purple-breasted sunbird , Neumann’s warbler ,African green pigeon ,African harrier hawk ,Cinnamon –chested bee-eater among others.
Gorilla Trekking
Gorilla trekking is the highlight activity done in Bwindi Impenetrable forest ,an activity which starts early in the morning with heavy breakfast from the lodge ,served with packed lunch boxes .Your driver guide will pick you up and drives you to the park headquarters for a short briefing .You then be allocated to your assigned gorilla trekking by the park ranger who leads you the forest trails to trek gorillas ,This activity can take 30 to 7 hours depending on their movements but remember to go with rain jackets ,poncho ,hiking rubber shoes ,enough mineral bottled water ,enough energy snack .But once you find these unique apes one hour is provided to you to spend with them ,learn their social behaviors ,feeding among others. It will also be a great time for you to enjoy unforgettable photography. After go back to the lodge or depart back to the origin destination.
Visit the pygmies /Batwa people
These were the ancient people who used to live together with forest creatures like the endangered mountain gorillas. They will entertain to you to their traditional dance, join them and learn how to prepare their local food, hand making materials like basket weaving.

You can carry out self guide walk around the forest canopy around the lodge. You can also be guided by guide who can led you to Rushura Hill Hike among other.
