Bwindi Forest National Park Uganda Entrance Fees
Bwindi Forest National Park Uganda Entrance Fees : Park entrance fees is a fee paid to a traveller in order to access the park’s activities and the fee paid lasts within 24hours more extra hours, you will need to pay for the next day. However, Bwindi Forest national park is a gorilla trekking/tracking safari destination, home for endangered mountain gorillas that are splinted in 21 habituated gorilla families in four gorilla trekking sectors. The park is located in south-western region of Uganda, estimating 9 to 10 hours’ drive and we recommend you to use 4×4 wheel car, a visit to Bwindi is worth it.
Currently, Uganda Wildlife Authority ‘’UWA’’ updated a new conservation tariff for Bwindi Forest National Park entrance fees 2020-222, through distributing park rules and regulations as follows;
You should not exceed the speed limit of 40Kilometers per hours while traveling to any Uganda national parks.
Do not pick flowers or destroy any vegetation while trekking mountain gorillas in their nature environment
Do not carry any firearms into the park
Do not litter rubbish within the park while trekking
Dogs or other pets are not allowed into the park
Driving in the park between 7:00pm and 7:00am is not allowed
Do not disturb wildlife species by sounding motor horns
Camping or making campfires are not allowed except at designated sites
Rules for Gorilla Tracking –Before and when you are with the Gorillas
Before you are head out
If you have infectious illness, you are allowed to visit the gorillas
Trackers must be 15 years of age and above
After long you should burry your waste 30centmeter deep
Maximum number of visitors is ‘’8’’ persons per gorilla family
When you are with the Gorillas
Always keep a 7 to 8 meters’ distance from the gorillas
Smoking is not allowed on the tour
Eating and drinking are not allowed on the tour
You’re limited to one hour per gorillas group per day
Flash photography is not permitted
If you must sneeze or cough cover your face and turn away from the gorillas because they are easily infected with human diseases ‘’share 98% DNA for humans.
Please Note;
At the park entrance, you will be required to present in your valid identification documents to confirm resident status
Park entrance fees must be quoted in USD-United States Dollar and UGX-Uganda Shillings
Park entrance fees ‘’day’’ is valid for ‘24’ twenty-four hours from time of entrance
Extra time spent with in the park after 24 hours will be charged as an extra day
Children are persons aged between 5 to 15 years
Person below 5 years are exempt
Entrance fees are independent –package activities include gorilla tracking and Bird watching many more
The park entrance fees are based on the status of the travellers; Foreign resident of Uganda, Foreign non-resident and East African citizenship. Entrance fees are distributed into different categories including Vehicle entry fees, aircraft landing fees, entrance fees for individuals and are paid basing on the status of the travellers. Note park entrance fees are paid separately from activities done in the park.
Individual park entrance fees
They are based on the status of the visitors categorised of; Foreign resident of Uganda, Foreign non-resident and East African Citizenship
Individuals park entrance
Foreign non-resident is expected to pay USD40 for adult and USD20 children to be accessed into park
Foreign resident is expected to pay USD30 adult and USD10 for children to access Bwindi Forest national park
East Africa Citizen are expected to pay UGX20,000 for adult and student UGX5,000, tertiary /Universities UGX5,000 and pupils pay UGX3,000 respectively.
Annual Park Entrance Fees
This annual park entrance fees are considered to only two Foreign residents of Uganda and East Africa Citizenship in order to access Bwindi Forest National Park
Individual
Foreign resident of Uganda is entitled to pay USD350 to access Bwindi Forest national park annually.
East African citizens is entitled to pay UGX150,0000 to access the park on annual basis.
Couples
A couple who is foreign resident of Uganda is entitled to pay USD500 and a couple of East African citizenship pay UGX200,000 to access Bwindi Forest national park on annual basis.
Family
Foreign resident of Uganda with a family of maximum 4 children are entitled to pay annual fees at USD700.
East Africa Citizen with a family of maximum 4 children is entitled to pay UGX300,000 as annual park entrance fees for Bwindi Forest national park.
Annual Corporate fees
Foreign resident is entitled to pay USD1,500 as annual corporate fees in Bwindi
East African citizenship is entitled to pay UGX2,500,000 to enter Bwindi Forest national park on annual basis.
Safari Guide
A safari guide and taxi driver both expect to pay UGX100,000 as annual park entrance fees to Bwindi Forest national park.
Tour Company Driver
A tour company driver ‘’East African citizen enter the park at a free entrance,
A couple –Foreigner /East African Citizen
A couple of foreign resident of Uganda is to pay USD500 and East African citizen is supposed to pay for park entrance fees at UGX200000 to enter the park for annual basis.
Foreign resident of Uganda with a family of maximum 4 children below 15 years of age are entitled a fee of USD700 an annual park entrance charges.
Family of East African citizen is expected to pay a charge of UGX300000 as annual park fees for Bwindi impenetrable national park.
Annual corporate fee for foreign resident of Uganda is USD1500 and UGX2.5million for the East African citizens to be paid annually in order to enter the Bwindi impenetrable national park.
A safari guide and the taxi driver are both charged UGX100000 as annual park entrance fee to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
Foreign resident of Uganda who is a tour operator is charged USD50 as annual basis to enter Bwindi impenetrable national park.
A tour operator who is an East African citizen is expected to pay UGX125000 as annual park entrance fees.

The vehicle park entry fees are considered on the type of the car you’re using comprising of its size and duration time spent with in the park.

A Foreign non-resident is to pay USD30, Foreign resident USD5 and East African members entitled UGX10,000 to enter Bwindi Forest national park

Foreign non-resident is entitled to pay USD40, Foreign resident USD10 and UGX20,000 for East African members to enter the park

Foreigner resident is entitled USD50, Ugandan registered USD15 and East African members to pay UGX30,000 to access the park

Foreign resident is pay USD50, Ugandan registered USD15 and east African citizenship entitled to 30,000 to access Bwindi Forest national park.

Foreign resident pays USD150, Uganda registered USD15 and East African members pay UGX30,000 to enter the park

Foreign resident pays USD150, Uganda registered USD50, and east African member pay UGX100,000

Foreign resident pays USD150, Ugandan registered USD75 and East African members entitled to pay 150,000 to enter the park

Uganda registered pay USD25 and East Africa members pay UGX50,000 to access Bwindi Forest national park

Ugandan registered pay USD10 and East Africa member pay UGX20,000 as a parking fee to the park.
Aircrafts Landing Fees
Pilots who land in the park for less than 24 hours entitled to pay landing fees to Bwindi Forest national park. Note landing fees not inclusive on entrance fees must be paid by the visitors.

East African citizen is expected to pay UGX20,000 as landing fees at the park

Parking fees per day
The East African members are expected to pay UGX10000as a parking fees per day.

Gorilla permit –Foreign non-resident pay USD700 per person per track and Foreign resident pay USD600, East African member pay UGX250,000 Per person.
Gorilla Habituation Experience-Foreign non-resident pay USD1,500, Foreign resident USD1,000 and East African citizen pay UGX750,000
