In general, Kibale Forest National Park is home to thirteen primate’s species and the most sought primates are endangered chimpanzees and the park’s most popular activity is Kanyanchu primate walk –Chimpanzee tracking which began since 1993 and chances of locating them are perfect and one hour is limited to observe them, this activity allows to a limited group of six visitors and participate must be aged 16 and above. More so, Kibale National Park shelters to over 120 mammals including baboons and chimpanzees, elephants and antelopes. It is also a birding hoven of about 370 bird species including 23 Albertine Rift endemics such as; Cassin’s spine tail, blue headed bee-eater, Nahan’s francolin and Low-land masked apalis among others. More then, the park is a home to chimpanzee population of about 1,500 individuals, located in Kabarole districts in western region sited on an area of about 321 square kilometers and lies on both low and high altitude of about 1,160 meter to 2,607meter of the sea level.
