Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and ranks among the top touristic national park in the world because of being home to half remaining mountain gorillas ,120 mammal species and 350 bird species among others. More so, what makes the park famous are the gorilla trekking experience that allows one to meet up with these gentle giants in their nature inhabitants. The park lies in Uganda’s southwestern region and can be accessed from Kampala’s Uganda’s capital within 9 to 10 hours’ driver. Alternatively, you can decide to fly from Entebbe to Kihihi Airstrip with in 1:30 hours to land and 30 minutes to drive you to the park.

Gorilla trekking
Gorilla trekking is an astonishing life experience that attracts millions of people to visit Uganda in order to meet up with gentle giants the mountain gorillas in their nature inhabitants. The activity starts in the morning with a briefing about gorilla trekking rules. Then after be grouped into a group of eight people to your assigned gorilla family and you will be accompanied by the park ranger who will lead you into forest trail head in search for them .However , this is an activity which takes about 30 to 7 hours depending on the movements of gorillas ,and one hour allowed to spend with them while learning about their life style ,feeding ,playing ,taking photography as well as video capturing among others.
Birding
While at the lodge, you do birding in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest trails with a guide and as you walk through those trails expect to sight see birds like blue headed sunbird, common bulbul, short tailed warbler, Yellow rumpled tinker bird, grey crowned cranes, Waller’s starling, Jameson’s Antpecker, barred long-tailed cuckoo, blue headed sunbird, common bulbul among others.
