More fact that, this is the commonly asked questions by numbery of visitors – which gorilla family to trek? Here is the article that notifies all about those commonly asked question about ‘’Gorilla trekking Tour’’. We try to enlighten on how habituated mountain gorilla families are allocated for visitors taking part in the Gorilla Trekking Experience, in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Volcanoes National Park.

First of all, when gorilla trekking had just started in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park – both national park had different ways in which gorilla families were found by tourists while gorilla trekking. The fact that ,Rwanda used to find gorilla families in the interests of each individual available to do the  activity and in Uganda ,gorilla permits were allocated basing to each habituated gorilla families for instance ,by then Bwindi Impenetrable National Park had 10 habituated gorilla families open for gorilla  for Gorilla Tourism ,a and had various names given to each gorilla family ,with all information spread on the internet and it was easier for a traveler to read the information about the gorillas and gorilla families in Uganda.  So they could inquire when already known the gorilla family, he or she wants to trek, for example Mubare Family ‘’M’’ and this meant that gorillas families with few members, no silver back, no young /baby gorillas would be left out, because they wouldn’t be of interest to visitors.

After some time affected gorilla trekking group allocation and gorilla permit allocation where by Mubare Gorilla Family ‘’M’’ which used to be the least visited while Rushaga Gorilla Family ‘’R’’ by that time used to be the most booked and visited gorilla family. For that matter, this would to shortage of gorilla permits for other gorilla family and reduce on the revenue as the other gorilla permits would be left out unsold. But, ever since the park authority introduced more habituated gorilla families in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park to 23 gorilla families and open for trekking, splintered in four habituated gorilla trekking sectors such as Buhoma sector, Ruhija sector, Rushaga sector, Nkuringo sector among others. Apparently, Mgahinga National Park has two habituated gorilla families that is Hirwa and Nyakagezi. As for now the system of allocating gorilla families still the same in Uganda and Rwanda as a way of maximizing sales by ‘’UWA’’ Uganda Wildlife Authority.
