Mountain Gorilla View Lodge; Mountain Gorilla View Lodge is one of the luxurious tourist’s accommodation facilities in Volcanoes National Park that sits amidst of unmatched wilderness with panoramic views of Rwanda’s Volcano mountains and lies few kilometers away from the volcanoes. Mountain Gorilla View lodge is an Eco lodge that stuns with over 30 spacious cottages. The cottages are made of stone and thatch. Each cottage was designed with a living area ,a fireplace, en-suite facilities and a private veranda.

Mountain gorilla view lodge have beautiful cottages forming of 30 stone and thatch cottage, well-spaced apart from privacy with dazzling views as soon as you choose to set outside onto their verandas where you can sit and enjoy overlooking beautiful nature around.
Rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished with a small lounge designed with a tea and coffee station as well as a fireplace that is lit for you on your return from what might have been a cold and wet day trekking for mountain gorillas.
Each cottage offers an en suite bathroom with a basin, shower and flush toilet plus a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries.
Room Facilities
This lodge’s central area is home to a restaurant as well as a large lounge that is split into three seating areas. Rooms are furnished by the low reed ceiling, comfortable seating, floor rugs and a roaring log fire thus giving the main building a cozy atmosphere in keeping with the friendly and informal nature of the lodge. From outside, there is a seating area around a fire pit an ideal for swapping gorillas stories and beautiful gardens full of wildlife.
Each night guests are entertained by the traditional Rwandan on display with their amazing song and dance put on by the local community.
Mountain Gorilla View Lodge have a standby generator that runs on main electricity, we advise you to recharge your camera batteries devices after a day in the rain forest.
Dining
Meals at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge are served buffet depending on visitor’s numbers at the lodge. Dining is designed at individual tables with room services available if requested in advance.
They also prepare tasty breakfast buffet with both cooked and continental options. Lunch is an a la carter with choices like quiche with fresh, locally grown vegetables and salad. The lodge organizes 3 course buffet, perhaps starting with pumpkin soup followed by grilled chicken with a traditional Rwanda Vegetable stew. Dessert offers are cakes, fruit salad and chocolate profiteroles many more.
However, Volcanoes National Park a home to endangered mountain gorillas and other primate’s species as well as notable bird species, located in northwestern region of Rwanda, covering about 160 square kilometers of rainforest and encompasses five of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga Mountain. The park boosts with unique mountain gorillas and golden monkeys plus animal’s species such as spotted hyena and bushbuck among others. From Kigali International Airport takes about 3 to 4 hours’ drive to the main destination.

Gorilla trekking
This is a remarkable activity which starts early in the morning with a short briefing about gorilla trekking rules. After your guide group you in the group of eight people to assigned gorilla family. The activity can take 30 to 7 hours depending on their movements and once they are allocated one hour is given to you to spend with them as you learn on how they behave, feed and play as well as photographing.
Tour to twin lakes
This involves in foot walking guided by the park ranges who leds you to interesting trail heads to access twin’s lake Ruhondo and Burera.
