Gorilla trekking at Rushaga Gorilla Haven Lodge in Bwindi
While at stay in Rushaga Gorilla Haven Lodge, you can go for gorilla trekking which starts very early in the morning with a briefing about gorilla rules. Then after be grouped by the park ranger in a group of eight. After grouping you he will lead you into forest trail heads in search for gorillas, as your searching expect to see other wildlife species such as bird species, green vegetables, forest elephants and small primates like monkeys, colobus monkeys among others. This activity can take 30 to 7 hours’ depending on their movements. When they are allocated one hour is given to you to spend with them watching how they play, feed, groom their young ones among others. Take pictures and capturing video for future remembrance.

Birding in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Birding in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is best done along the main trail of the Buhoma waterfall trail, Bamboo zone and Mubwindi swamp trail in Ruhija and best time to do birding starts from November to April good to watch migratory birds, December to February best time for birding with less rain. From May and June there a lot of food and main season for nesting. Most spotted bird in Bwindi include; giant kingfisher, Kiev gerund thrush, African harrier hawk, African blue, African Emerald cuckoo, Common Bulbul, Crowned hornbill, Cinnamon-chested bee eater, African green pigeon, Fly catchers among others.
Batwa visit
This is one of the remarkable activity to do in Bwindi, through visiting Batwa trip one of the oldest surviving indigenous tribes in Africa. They used to live in the forest with mountain gorillas in peace before gazetting into a national park. Batwa people now live in surroundings of the park and some of them have become guides in the park.
