Community Visit to Iby’iwacu village experience; This is the most stunning group of people who were ex-poachers and had to turn away from such useless manners and choose to turn their back on the former lifestyle and create a new lifestyle of a traditional dance who usually entertain visitors on a visit here.
Golden monkey tracking; This is an excellent activity done in volcanoes national park and is best done in the morning hours. The activity starts with a briefing and then after going to search for these playful and nature of beautiful golden monkeys in the lush vegetation at the foot of Mount Sabyinyo for one of two habituated groups of the golden monkey and one troop ranges with more than 80 individuals. When you find them an hour is given to you to observe their foliage on the forest floor and swinging around the tree branches.
Gorilla trekking; This is the most done activity in Volcanoes national park where you can have a great opportunity to come face to face with a silverback Gorilla in their natural habitat. The activity involves searching for these unique apes and an hour to watch them as they behave, play and feed, and survive all day long in the forest. Note, while trekking for gorillas, you can as well visit the Dian Fossey grave or research institute which was carried out by Dian Fossey as well as discover one of the unique volcanoes in the park.
However, Gorilla trekking is a magical experience that can be done in the gorilla family, and Volcanoes national park hosts over 10 habituated gorilla families of mountain gorillas that make Virunga Mountain their home.
