Safety Measures for Gorilla Trekking During Covid 19 : This is the best way of protecting our critically endangered mountain gorillas since they share 98% of their DNA to that of human being. Through providing safe measurement for gorilla trekking in Uganda during Covid 19 is the best way to save the great mountain in their tropical nature forest of Bwindi Impenetrable national park and Mgahinga Gorilla national park both located in southwestern region of Uganda. All this have been put in place to ensure that you have a safe experience during your transfer to the park to engage in gorilla trekking experience as you put in order safety precautions in place.

Guideline Precautions for Gorilla Trekking in Uganda During Covid-19-SOP

While carrying out gorilla trekking in Uganda please you should consider this;

Take note, whether you received a Covid 19 vaccine or not you are requested to put on your face mask as safety precautions for life and gorilla trekking during covid 19 pandemic in order to have safe activity. And it is noted that one of the ways on how the virus is spread is through the air and with the face masks that will help block the infected droplets from reaching your mouth and nose.

At the briefing point, you will be required to wash or sanitize your hands. Then temperature will be taken and recorded, above 37.5 degrees Celsius will be refused from experiencing the trek.

Briefing shall be arranged in small groups of 8 individuals after the gorilla groups have been allocated.

You are requested to wear surgical mask or a cloth mask with a filter and you are encouraged to carry two of them.

When you get closer to the gorillas you will be required to sanitize your hands again before embarking for the activity.

You are requested to stay at least 10meter away from the Gorillas during the pandemic period.

It is well noted, tourists on their gorilla trekking must consider on maintaining a safe social distance of 2 to 4 meters away from other travelers to avoid contracting of the virus in case some of the tourists might have been affected with Corona virus.

Travelers should consider using hand sanitizer ‘’80%’’alcoholic before embarking in gorilla trekking experience that helps to kill the virus in case you come in contact with infected surfaces which can be easily spread by the use of hands. Therefore, we advise to our travelers to take regular sanitizing during their travel.

Recovered tourists from the virus, they should present in their recovery documents in order to participate in Uganda gorilla trekking. This is because the virus can be detected for several days or even after months after diagnosis which can hinder you from adventuring in Uganda gorilla trekking.

Traveling to Uganda is only given to tourists that have tested negative for covid 19 and PCR test that should be presented at the time of arrival to ensure that the tourists should take part in the activities, it’s just stunning and safe gorilla trekking experience in Uganda without putting our creatures in a dangerous situation of contacting with the virus.
