Fishing

Fishing in Murchison Falls National Park provides exciting challenges to anglers including the chance to land a massive Nile Perch ‘’the last record was 108kg Nile perch’’. Fishing is restricted to designated sites and places.  So prior booking is recommended.

Thousands of visitors visit Murchison Falls on safari, because is home rich with wildlife over 76 mammal species which can be spotted during your game drive adventure such as lions, leopard, elephant, Rothschild’s giraffe, Cape buffalo, hartebeest among others. Although, the best game view area is Buligi area.

Hiking and Nature Walks

The park’s vast landscapes can be explored on foot in accompany of ranger guides. The hiking experience is best carried out in trails through Kaniyo Pabidi and Rabongo forests that provides great sights of various primates and birds, while walking around the Nile –Lake Albert Delta. It offers possible sightings of the shoebill.

Boat cruise

 At your comfortable stay at Tilenga Safari lodge, you can engage in boat cruise that cruises you downstream to the papyrus delta at the river’s entrance into Lake Albert. It can take 4 – 5 hour return voyage offering a best chance of sighting the shoebill stork and a variety of other wildlife species.
