Vilakazi Safari Camp is an eco-friendly and welcoming safari lodge built to serve thousands of tourists on both short and long comfortable stays in the beautiful wilderness of the famous Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls National Park is home to the largest number of wildlife species with over 76 mammals,450 bird species, and primates like unique Chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys many more. The park is located in northwestern regions of Uganda, approximately about a 4 to 5hours drive from Kampala to the main visited destination. It can also be reached by domestic flight from Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi airstrip -Aero Link Uganda or Bar Aviation that can fly you to Pakuba Airstrip or Chobe Airstrip.

Fact, the camp is positioned in the buffer zone of the park and its location offers habitats of the park.

It also offers a chance for spectacular wildlife viewing of giraffes, elephants, and various bird species as well as enabling visitors to witness the dawn breaking over the park.

The campsite is overshadowed by the greenery and trimmed with the rugged nature that looks similar to those of the park. More than that, it offers with a rewardable view of both river Nile and the Jungle set.

Game Drive

These are the major done activities in Murchison Falls National Park which are conducted in the delta of the Vectorial Nile to the south and the Albert Nile to the north. Animals to see include; elephants, Jackson hartebeest, Uganda kob, giraffes, a herd of buffalos, and warthogs among others.

Chimpanzee trekking

Chimpanzee trekking is an unforgettable experience in the Budongo forest of Murchison Falls National Park where you can enjoy the amazing lifestyle of these unique primates in their natural habitats. This activity takes about 30 to 5 hours to allocate these species and one hour is given to you to learn about them and how they play, feed, behaviors as well as take everlasting photography.

Bird watching

On a visit to the camp, you will be able to enjoy various notable bird species such as marabou stork, Abyssinian ground hornbill, Secretary bird, black-bellied bustard, Open billed stork, dwarf kingfisher, white thighed hornbill, great blue turaco, African black crake which are best viewed from April to May and November the best time to see the migratory bird species.

Boat cruise

The boat cruise is the most admired and done activity which starts from Paraa dock and it sails upstream towards the falls. While on a boat cruise, you will be able to sail near the hippo school as they float on water, view crocodiles, and water birds as well as sight flocks of warthogs, buffaloes, and elephants showering on the river bank. You will be able to sail close to the devil’s cauldrons take memorable photos and then return back.
