This guided trail is quite interesting with lots of attractions which takes you along the scenic Bizenga Creek which joins the Munyaga River – the hike starts at Buhoma. To birders joining into this activity, you will find most rewarding unique and endemic species of birds in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The hike or walk can take like 1:20 hour in length. The hiking experience along these trails gives easy hike and brings much with it in terms of what you see in the forest.
Waterfall trail;
One joining in hiking adventure is the only way you can get to explore the mysteries of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, its beautiful nature, vegetations, plants, unique species of primates, tree, beautiful butterflies, birds and all these can be encountered along this trail.

This trail was supposed to be a road leading to the town of Kisoro when gorillas and conservation which were not on the mind of politicians. It can be enjoyed without vehicles. The hiking experience in this trail takes about 3 hours – difficulty level is moderate – located in Buhoma area.
Ivy River Trail;
The ivy River trail is rewarding and it follows an old road through the forest. This is a full day’s hike with elevation gain and simply a fantastic experience. This trail can be enjoyed after having tracked gorillas in Buhoma and then after reaching Nkuringo.
It is a very scenic route with great points along the way, you can be able to view monkeys, bush pigs, butterflies, birds, villagers on the way. This trail can also be taken from Nkuringo to Buhoma area.
The hike here starts from Buhoma and hike to Nkuringo – you can have overnight stay – to trek Gorillas the next day and on the following day visit Lake Mutanda and the Kisoro town. The tracking experience takes 7 to 8 hours.
Kashasha River Trail
This trail takes about 4 to 5 hours in length and it brings you to see the ancient rainforest up close. It involves steeper inclines especially if you take the Buhoma to Nkuringo route – it raises 600 meters up at the end of the trail. While hiking along this trail, your guide will point out the wildlife, birds, plants, beautiful flowers, ferns and trees among others and views are stunning. What interest most, you visiting by vehicle from Buhoma to Nkuringo takes 7 hours and more, and is much shorter taking the Kashasha River trail 5 to 6 hours in length. The hike from this trail can either start Buhoma or Nkuringo area of the park. Meaning it might start at Buhoma and ends in Nkuringo.
